The Chef

A walk to the market, sizing the veggies, she feels them, feel  ok, drops them in the bag, a short walk, health and well being on her mind, she feeds people, wants to make them feel well, it’s a struggle sometimes, but she perseveres. The half hour over the boiling pot, the regular twist of the spoon, doesn’t want it to get too lumpy, dips her finger in, tasty, she wants a little more spice, just enough never too much, you can add more yourselves later. She watches the door, they will be in soon, lunchtime, she knows who is well and who needs extra, she has a heart that tells her she is a mother, her food is prepared that way. amen.

Self Image

Who am I, the thoughts in that head, where did they come from, where was the nurture, who encouraged them, was it all an accident, are we chosen. The thoughts run through the mind, the ideas that rise and fade, the morning workout, the night time surf, the eyes, you didn’t see that, the quite footsteps, seriously, like a thief in the night. Image, Solomon

was looking in a window, if he was hungry it was a restaurant, if it was a bookstore it was a mind, the world to him was a menu of choices, was that the message that needed to be shouted out loud. Look, try another one, she won’t notice, she raises the hem of her dress, you want some, seductive or not, choices. the menu was a living one.

The trek to another part of the world, to perform the obscene, then the trip home, the flowers and the presents, got away with that you think, choices. What choice did a child have, depended on the example around them, self image, they do we do, amen. Solomon encountered the Holy Spirit, it was not delusion, and the events in his life, were, just that, out of this world, so long as you make good choices, amen.

Cover Up

She puts on her robes, dresses the traditional way, covers up. Women pass her on the street, they look at her, odd they think, who’d want to cover up. She spends five minutes preparing to go out, they spend an hour worrying about how they look, who was covering up. She doesn’t seek the admiring glances of men, she has no intention to tease. It’s odd she thinks, the way some seek the attention, when they ought to seek happiness. One day they will understand.

the child comes homes after school, the welcome is personal, his mother is waiting for him, They discuss the school, what did you learn today, no stones no anxieties, they chat about the news, he tells her what he is doing, about the school trip next week. She smiles as she watches him leave the dining room, he is heading off to see friends.

The morning is a rush, they rush will begin in less than an hour, and they have to travel. They both “work”, and across town takes at least a good half hour. Come on Johnny hurry up, come on, you’ll be late, will you get your son to move she sighs, she has an early meeting, it’s her review. he rushes cereal, take it with you, she hands him a fruit bar, come on, hurry up, we’ll be late. They bunch into the van/car.

Perception sighed Solomon, there were those who thrived on attention, and those who suffered on account of the lack of it. One day they’d learn. If they gave half the attention to what was important, what a difference it would make. Imagine, going down the street, and everyone looking at the faces rather than the rear ends, where did that idea come from, cover up I suppose. Happy B day.

Call Out Loud!

scream, it’s not the neighbors, again, turn the TV up darling, who wants to listen to that, he flicks through the channel, will they ever give up, he’ll be thrashing the furniture next, broke a few vases last week. i’m going to report them for disturbing us, if the keep this up you wont have to, call out loud, who are you kidding, they will only call trouble, amen. Young child, young woman, young man, young, you can be eighty with the feelings you had at sixteen, the anxiety that you store inside.

Solomon wondered how hard it was for some to call out, the trapped souls, the trapped inside, the worry, the reaction of neighbors, the feeling of vulnerability and how others react to it, just one of those days. Everywhere there was vulnerable there came the vultures. I was time the human race reconciled itself, they were all in the boat together, and he had seen the round cloud and a few other ones. Numbers were repeating, it was going on for a few years, he wondered about the others too, had they not noticed. Amen. It was time to call out loud, the power of God Most High is within reach, heaven exists, amen.

The Old Bishop

Scandal is a word, a condition of the mind, the fear we have of others, the behaviour of those we mind, the old man with a young heart, competing with the old men with no hearts, so it seems. They remember the expensive wine, the beautiful young woman, and how they fell in love, how did that happen, what a scandal they fumed.

Solomon was recalling an old warrior, who had passed to the next world, Eamon Casey is his name, a bishop who enjoyed good wine, rich company and a smile. He was sure God was welcoming him home, if only they were more humane he sighed, amen.

Forgiveness

Inshallah, Shalom, God Bless you, Jew Christian Muslim, from the tree of Abraham they all started, and then the complex situation, the translations, The Jewish law extends from Moses, The Christian Law extends from Jesus ,The Muslim law extends from Muhammad, three arguments about the same thing, the timing off, each using a different starting point, what is the difference!. Reason puts the teaching of Jesus as the answer to the conflict, something the Jewish faith has trouble with. Scripture points to a time, when that hill will be overcome. For the sake of their children alone, you’d think they’d agree to disagree, and accept the fact, they are all part of a continuous stream of wisdom. Credit to the J

ewish people, they were the first to accept God as God ,they laid the foundations but fell out, but will as scripture says, be welcome back, The christian churches built a church or churches, but have been trying to work it out, and Muhammad, he warned against the abuse of alcohol, and the inability of men to remain faithful to women. In all cases they got it right to a certain degree.

Solomon was reflecting on the different stages of unity, and the advances been made in a variety of ways, to bring about a better understanding of God’s wisdom, through real time events. The numbers were repeating, the outsiders were finding a voice, and there was changes going on in Rome and Saudi Arabia, the spirit of wisdom was flowing, let it grow he prayed. Wisdom was the permanent spirit of God Most High. He prayed in the Holy Name, and every time he was answered. If Jew prayed for christian, if Christian prayed for Muslim, and Muslim prayed wisdom for them all, the world would change overnight. Well, what was God after all, but Love divine. If you are to enjoy that world, pave your journey with Love. It sounded so easy, it is, amen. It was time they prayed forgiveness, amen.

Sunshine

Love connects, the sun comes out, the heart heals, prayers are answered. Why doubt the possibilities, it was amazing. Solomon looked at the picture, he posted it 1,000 times, it’s real. the answer to a prayer, proof of divine intervention, what else did they need to know, zip.

Word Power

get up and walk, get up and walk, the man got up and walked. In the beginning, words, in the end, words, the power of thought, the power of God within, it’s waiting to to awoken in you, it’s that simple. It was no blind comment, the proof was 2,000 years old. It was not an if, or a maybe, it was written in ancient civilizations. The pyramids, the holy sites, the visions of the prophets. it was not rocket science. Solomon was reading an old book, well new in one way, it was only 130 years old, a blip in our life history. He sighed ,why didn’t they explain it in the simple way it was given to them, this life was a transition, there was more to come. Well, if they fill your heads with all that is this world, what else will you think. Blind the mind, burn the heart, and survive, don’t think so, amen.

Women’s day

Well, girls, how are we going to celebrate the great day, after all, they gave us the vote a hundred years ago, yeah, says molly that’s something to celebrate, they are even going to give us equal pay with men, and they recognize the rearing of children as a Job, aha, only since they have to pay childcare, remember the days. Solomon sighed, he was imagining the party and the parade, the big get together, well, there was always shopping.

In a world under going great change, it was a time to reflect on the great change, freedom wasn’t as free as some thought it was, and his own upbringing was a reminder. Running home from school or on the cycle, dumping the school bag, and wondering what Mother had for treats, a mother at home, the most welcome gift a child could imagine. Now, well, they called it the advancement of society, how many women would love to afford to be at home minding their children, priceless,  everyday.

If it was women’s day, what would you do, just thinking out loud.
