More Spiritual less Ritual…

Solomon was in the temple, listening to the preacher, it’s important how you communicate, and what holes your digging and if they can easily be filled in, in a nutshell, can the good Samaritan walk in the trail that you leave. Branding, I am a good this, you are a good that, we are pure, that is the other. Jesus tended to simplify matters as best he could, and reminded his followers and apostles, that the sheep were spread out among the different flocks, they were scattered among different groups of believers. He didn’t use brand names, and never gave Himself the credit for his miracles, he acknowledged God, his Father, who existed in the Space, the Spirit inside us, for those who made time for it, and space. It wasn’t a question of prayer alone, it was how you treated others, the compassion you’d shown, the kindness, these were the characteristics that gladdened the Father, the ritual sacrifices he told them was not what was wanted or desired, rising the Loving Spirit, helped all.

Words are used to divide people, words are used to condemn people, and words are used to unite people, and words soothe people, I love you, the words you don’t hear often enough, that light you up.

Building walls was easy to do, when one particular set of believers assumed they had a privilege, or preference when it came to Godly matters. Jesus tells us this, the pharisee’s displayed this, and history shows how we ignored this, all too often, given licence to dictators everywhere, in all forms. In the light of the New World Experience many were facing into, it was more important now than ever before, to recall this timeless wisdom. I don’t eat this food or that, I ate what my Mother put before me, it was how we survived. Once we allowed ritual to be just that, ritual, we could focus on the Spiritual well being, of those we encounter, amen.

To be or not to be, Children of God, that is the aim of those who gather in worship, and that’s how they should be described.

Here’s to the man who taught so many the power of words and music, and applied the law of the talents to his life. Solomon was listening to an interview from the iconic voice, always the outsider, even to those within the music business. The rebels he said were long ago, as conforming is the norm, Solomon sighed, it’s the reason why his work is timeless, his voice is authentic. Solomon smiled, the evenings he and friends spent listening to the music, the warmth it instilled in them all, there is a lot to be thankful for in the Man, who used his talents so wisely, his music has that eternal ring, bless Him.

Talk to Me….

It’s going to be a confrontation, whose ready for it, they both are on a war footing, there is only one way this can end, the sides prepare, the artillery is arranged, the arguments and the blame, there is hurt and fear, losing has consequences, winning is all, it could be a court room, it could be an election, it could be a marriage counselor, how can you solve the problem, unless you talk to me. What’s the point if you don’t listen she said, your not talking to me. Solomon sighed, it’s the same as talking to God, you have to get into the right frame of mind.

The lady is Spiritual, is filled with the Spirit, she can heal, it’s every tough on the emotions, Jesus confirms this, its even written about, the lady who touched his cloak, who wanted to be cured by him, he reacts when he feels her touch, energy had gone out of Him. Love is energy sapping, it has to be refilled, the vessel inside, then more becomes available, same as the stream, it has many sources of water to keep it going strong. The lady passing on the Spirit of healing, she prepares for the encounter, otherwise the Spirit can’t be strong.

Solomon was explaining to a friend, meetings, appointments, the friend sighed, we get nowhere, Solomon replied, well, you have to prepare yourself in advance, you can’t go into talks expecting nothing, otherwise you won’t be prepared to listen. Imagine he sighed to himself, you are meeting God, the day is today, you have to get your script write, there is not much time, imagine what you’d do. Prepare, empty the head of useless thoughts, rest, and expect the unbelievable, in other words, change. Are you talking to me, listen then he sighed.

Building Upon Humility — SaintlySages.. re blogged, written 111 years ago.. what does it mean today…

In his book Groundwork of the Christian Virtues, Archbishop Ullathorne discusses at length the benefits of the virtue of humility. For example, he suggests that “a few truly humble souls will change the hearts of many, and will prevent much sin, if only by their prayers.” Humility, he argues, is a foundation for the other […]

Building Upon Humility — SaintlySages

We don’t belong

She is a gifted child, doesn’t communicate with confidence, is awkward around people, has an energy inside her, she senses the emotions of those near by, leaves her feeling cold, I don’t belong here. Her mother thought she was under developed, they brought her to see specialists, what was the problem they sighed, the girl didn’t understand, all she felt were the vibes around her, felt like she didn’t belong.

Solomon was thinking of those who were gifted in so many ways, who didn’t subscribe to the material minded thinking that had polluted their world. Why had the water to be polluted, wasn’t there enough for everyone. He was thinking of the mothers who spend their days plotting how to do best for their children, the example they wanted them to follow. Fraught with worry, many didn’t want their child to become victims in a non caring world, what is there to do.

Meanwhile, those in power, parade their wealth to their people, boasting to all with eyes, showing off, the perfect lifestyle, decadence and excess, as if it was the dream of those watching this parade to imitate what they were viewing. Solomon wondered, had they heard about Jesus, and the divine power he had, or where that power came from. Had they any idea of the harm they were spreading, telling so many they didn’t belong, unless they wanted to be like them.

To the left to the right, he recalled the parable of the wise King, who returned after a long absence, to see how his people had been treated while he was away. Jesus told many such stories to warn all, if you don’t act with compassion and kindness, you didn’t belong to him, no matter who you were, amen. While he walked the earth, Jesus had a difficult time fitting in too. Don’t give up believing, amen.
