Where’s Your Stuff?

clutter amounts to nothing in the end

Spirit Lights The Way

220px-OldBeggar1Some years back, a tourist from the United States visited the home of a Rabbi and saw a simple room furnished with books, a table, and a bench.

Astonished, the visitor asked, “Rabbi, where’s your stuff?”

The Rabbi replied, “Where’s yours?”

“Mine?  I’m just passing through.  I’m just a visitor here.”

“So am I.”

Aah . . . that’s better!

Samaritan

Wasn’t Christian, wasn’t Jewish, wasn’t one of us, was an example used by Jesus, I wonder why no one gets it, is there so much ego in the world, do you all want to be the boss, have you not got enough control, does it upset you if you loose it, are you the type who enforces the rules, do you enjoy seeing reputations ripped apart, are you always comparing, do you feel closer to God because of your religious beliefs, isn’t that a form of judgement in all reality, yes, no religious offering comes out of the global mess covered in roses, it’s why we had the Samaritan story, the stranger who came to the aid of the local, it’s not what label you wear, be it Sunday, Friday, Saturday, it’s not how you eat your food, it’s not what you eat, that’s all custom passed on, how you love is what it’s all about, and that’s who you are, it’s inscribed on your soul, the soul that only God’s Holy Spirit can read, and in order to help us bury our prejudices, God in his wisdom gave us the example of the stranger with the heart, and pointed out explicitly, that that was behavior befitting his children, so go away with your customs and practices, they don’t mean an iota if you don’t have the heart of the Good Samaritan, amen…People of God do not pass on hatred or resentment to anyone, and they never pollute children with hatred of others, they treat men and woman as equals, they give mothers the upper echelon, amen.

Being Normal

What is normal, what used to be normal, what will be normal, how is normal arrived at, used to be normal,  not normal anymore, much said about normal, whatever normal is, no one can decide, on what is normal, every generation is normal, so normal has changed many times, used to be normal for the poor to be servants, the poor being normal, normal  the gap between them and the upper classes, used to be normal for women to be housebound, used to be normal for women to be owned by men, used to be normal to keep slaves, there’s a lot of normal’s that ain’t that normal anymore, child reared in violent home, to him violence is normal, why the surprise when he reverts to violence later, to him it is normal, child reared in alcoholic home, assumes alcohol is normal, normal is a word of many meanings, and can mean an awful to so many individuals, in the eyes of God Most High, it is normal to love, since everyone was gifted some, you passed it on, but we don’t love as we used to, more normal to hate than to love in many places, many are taught that way, they assume it’s normal, whatever we assume of normal, it’s normally something we pass on, and that makes much of normal, abnormal if you believe in the divine, just a normal idea in a very abnormal world as they say. Children are being sexualised early, everywhere, daily, regularly, and to many it’s now normal, why is it so, who decided that this is normal behavior, questions we don’t want answers to, now that is something normal,  amen.

Aside

We are sun children, open to light, we delight with brightness, mood rises

at sun caress’s, inside we fill with feeling, no longer rushing about, as we

absorb the energy given. Modern living, busy all the time, mentally materially

driven, to the point of exhaustion almost, what’s there to stare at,

always seeing, bargains everywhere, price tags we adore, can afford that, how

much is that, measuring everything, comparing chasing, ignoring the sun, where we came from.

It’s a busy life, we forget easily, appeasing indefinitely, watching the doom grow,

escaping into ourselves, we fill with sound bytes, that sound all right,

we switch off emotionally, leaving empty caverns everywhere, till our heads fill again,

then it’s time to unload, medical kit or prescription medication, ,

then we begin to race more, speeding to and fro, ignoring where we come from,

world shrinks all around us, used to be a safe environment,  remember what it was before,

forgotten altogether, that we are sun children ever more…

When you write words that move the heart, you are making love to the universe

When you move the heart you are calling out to God

When you cheat on love you unravel inside..

The straw that broke the camels back wasn’t any stronger than any one before, and the child who prayed the unforgettable prayer, was a tear so far, but also a blessing in disguise.

60 Females, 31 Boys Abducted In Northeast Nigeria

who funds these people?

Black America Web

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (AP) — Islamic extremists have abducted 60 more girls and women and 31 boys from villages in northeast Nigeria, witnesses said Tuesday.

Security forces denied the kidnappings. Nigeria’s government and military have attracted widespread criticism for their slow response to the abductions of more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped April 15.

There was no way to safely and independently confirm the report from Kummabza, 150 kilometers (95 miles) from Maiduguri, capital of Borno state and headquarters of a military state of emergency that has failed to curtail near-daily attacks by Boko Haram fighters.

Kummabza resident Aji Khalil said Tuesday the abductions took place Saturday in an attack in which four villagers were killed. Khalil is a member of one of the vigilante groups that have had some success in repelling Boko Haram attacks with primitive weapons.

A senior local councilor from the village’s Damboa local government told The Associated…
