My ‘Naked’ Truth by Robin Korth

Robin Korth

Naked, I stood at the closet doors with the lights on and made myself ready. I took a deep breath and positioned the mirrors so I could see all of me. I consciously worked to remove my self-believed inner image. I opened my eyes and looked very carefully at my body. And my heart lurched at the truth: I am not a young woman anymore. I am a woman well-lived. My body tells of all the years she has carried my spirit through life.

I am a 59-year-old woman in great health and in good physical shape. I stand five-feet, nine-inches tall and weigh 135 pounds. I wear a size six in both jeans and panties, and my breasts are nowhere near my navel. In fact, they still struggle to make it full-up in a B-cup bra. My thighs are no longer velvet and…

My Spaceship Failed

Measure me weigh me evaluate estimate package me sell me, bundle me into a category turn me bland, when your finished might as well sexualise me, turn me into an item of desire and addiction, welcome me to the modern world of the child, where everything is valued according to sets of statistics, how many how much how regular how divided we all are, according to numbers we set a price of everyone, your country is rich your worth invading, no natural resources don’t rush over there, the smiling teeth brigade were here to help, privately they organize the theft of all your stuff, years later they arrive with human aid doing the good thing, well they have previous know how, they can help, circle of exploitation runs and runs till resources run dry, then they begin to feed on the vulnerable among themselves, the honest the concerned the carers the teachers the mums the young, evidenced across all borders and ceaseless it seems, well the man in the sky is watching them all, measuring them according to their own rules, will they have a role to play in the world of true love, fire prevention i suppose, career advice for those with new world intentions, your spaceship just failed it’s test flight,  blew up again, amen.IMG_5757

The Problems of Love

Love is a problem when you try to own it,

(ownership demands jealousy)

love is never a problem when you share it,

(something shared is never a burden)

daily we are told that love belongs to us,

(media circus is total push)

when all true love is purely divine,

(All Love belongs to God – check the image A4 size)

children are the result of divine love,

(blessed trinity of love, love created)

gift of creation entwined unwound ,

(born with it)

and the teachings of Jesus,

(best example of Love in action)

forgiveness is the main ingredient of happiness,

(love is for life, have to get over your difficulties)

we coil steel rope around love so tight,

(we get very protective of Love, it’s mine!¬)

when it uncoils everyone gets hurt

(all those angry feelings, depression etc)

blame hatred agony aunts psychics therapists benefit

(fortunes made out of failed love by others)

while society pushes love to the extreme,

(secrets of a good relationship, most in trouble)

in the background it titillates and excites,IMG_5758

creating the no mans land affect,

where true love can hardly grow,

can’t have children have to leave you,

honey, with  money you’ll find someone new,

love is really divine but we treat it so poorly,

offending God Most High and strangling ourselves in the process,

ghandhi amen.

Two Little Boys

Two small boys playing in the mall,

running gaily under  mother’s watchful eye,

free to dream run with cheer,

it’s the sort of stuff that reminds you,

children need the space to find themselves,

and adults the time and ability to be patient,

not interfering and devising distant futures,

just the chance to be children,

I wonder if it’s a case of covering up,

the high geared plans some parents have,

before their child is even born,

fears they pass on in regulated ways,

if we can’t be there we’ll organise instead,

how can children be farmed successfully,

why has society lost empathy,

and who can disagree with that just stating fact,

little boys need their father figures around,

same way a river needs to flow,

it’s the way a child grows in confidence,

if in trouble they don’t have to worry,

does the heart not bleed sometimes,

when you see that stubborn child,

afraid of the emotions inside,

on account of not being able to share them,

it’s not rocket science, amen.

little Joe gets older,

only emotional strength will support him,

no substitute for that regardless of circumstance,

too busy too bad the child’s loss and yours,

che2amen.

DNA Reflection

If what is your DNA is made up of the previous actions of yourself and those that came before you, and it’s proved to be true, this is reflected in the problems passed on, even if we don’t want to admit it, what does 50% of the average mind reflect, if half of all web traffic is for sexual purposes, the figure is higher, just been encouraging, what’s in the mind is what you fill it with, what’s in your DNA is what you experience with itIMG_5755, there has to be a balance in this, in one generation the problems can be addressed, the wisdom of Jesus, forgiveness, no baggage to pass on but a clean bill of health, reason we all have to be born again, it’s not an option, otherwise we’d do the same things for ever and ever, getting nowhere in the process, amen., and just destroy everything as we speed down the human highway as Neil Young sings about, and many more.

Token Heads

working in Africa, we work with the homeless, what does your charity do, the gossipers and the boast, all the time remaining faithful, to the very system that destroys within, the victims they support, the victims the system creates, no fear of them doing anything structural, foreign debt written off, countries weren’t paying it back, prolonging the pain that bit further, chaos is sometimes required, the could have been me moment, as Leonard says, only when the hearts of the ordinary are moved, only then does anything ever change, what does your charity do then, increase the waiting time I suppose, it’s time for one charity, not trendy to do that, you lose the PR value and more, did they really do that, next week they dine out with tyrants, giving credit to evil and corruption, Geronimo was right all those years ago, they offer tokens, but they can never be trusted, the white man, and was he not right, even if the Indians now scalp the white man through the pocket, with all those casino’s, strange justice. Amen, trying to bail out the conscience, easier to re float the titanic, unless you have sown love, those with the talents, talents to be shared, questions will be asked, the image of the man from the sky, it’s not imitation it’s very real, amen.

paul mc cartney started playing the trumpet before he played the guitar, imagine that

OnMinimation, we comb through the archives of legendary New York radio station WNEW-FM and animate interviews with legendary rock artists. In this installment,George Harrisonrecalls playing music with a pre-BeatlesPaul McCartney, who at the time, wasconcentrating on playing trumpet.

Ah, what could have been.

Paul McCartney was the only member of the Beatles who, after the split-up, was able to do a solo album, completely on his own, without any supporting musicians. His solo debut, 1970’sMcCartney, featured Paul on all the instruments: guitars, bass, keyboards and drums. But in this interview, George Harrison recalls that Paul started out playing the trumpet, possibly because his father had played in a jazz band.

But Paul, it seems, always had his eye on stardom. And while Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespiewere stars in their own right, that would not be Paul’s path.
