Older Persons

Oh Golly, he looks at the desk, he has to get up, in his hand the calendar, how do i fit them in, it’s impossible, he wonders about it, the new year, looks at the calendar, can’t fit it in their either, when was the birthday, realizes he missed it cause he can’t even remember it, so long since they

celebrated one, oh what a chore, visiting the older ones at such a busy time of year. His Father sits by the bed, the air is sterile clean, smells hospital, instead, it’s one of those ultra clean hygiene marketed nursing homes for the very nearly fully aged, the last resting place before the big departure at they say, where you fletter your last days among the weakest, where you hear the late night screams of the tormented. His Father is close on eighty five, has been in the facility three years, two years more than expected. The financing of it, the mortgage on his sons house and the small pension he draws from his days in the public service.

It’s high maintenance, the running costs going up annually, demand for retiree spaces is huge, the elderly generation living longer, the rest of the generations only now realizing it, they will be elderly one day too, the cost of all these programs, re opening the old arguments for euthanasia.

Solomon was listening to the woes of an old friend. He didn’t want to install his Mother in an old folks home, her ability to move about severely curtailed by a degraded hip, that doctors can only treat with pain medicine. Older persons, they cost a lot to maintain, 2,000 a week, 1500 a week, depending.  Solomon listened to the figures, was shocked, it would be cheaper to stay in a good hotel. His own thoughts of retirement, whatever surprise the boss had for him, had worked for ever.

Mugabe

Are they serious, he reminded himself of the cries twenty years before, the tyrant Mugabe, and the way the country was thrashed, even his Mother was afraid of him, thirty seven years later, a long time to wait for redemption, in the meantime, given credit by the religious authorities, what would Jesus say about Mr Mugabe, well, he was not going to go into that. The individuals who kept him in power object to the wife taking over the estate, meanwhile off shore, the wealth stolen from those who had to endure famine conditions almost, remains his. If anything, it pointed out the real reason for the existence of the off shore fiefdoms. Yeah, they were coming out with Spin, we have standards about where the money is coming from, and we are under the tutelage of the recognized banking establishments, the very same ones who set up the off shore fiefdoms in the first place, rather cute, Robert Mugabe, the Great Greek theft before the fall, the arms traders, and whoever else, all doing their business in the same off shore toilet, rather shitty.

Solomon encountered the Real Spirit, and ever since that day, he had a rule, write it. Yes, we can re write the entire mess, it is up to us all to put our minds to it. amen.

Rewarding Hate

The details are gross, the readers are in the millions, the details are worse than a bad day in a slaughter house. Fixated the readers are spell bound, did they really do that, the small details thrill the most, the writer gets an award for encouraging hate. Solomon recalled the times, when there were elders, wise men in every community, wise women too, (do i here the sexist complaint). In times of distress, the wise elders were the first source of comfort. The matter is discussed, the complainants make their case, the well being of the community comes first, ears do not need to hear the details. Why fill the heads with all sorts of strange thoughts, same reason they used to try and shield young children and others from pornography, it wasn’t deemed good for a healthy society. Are you joking they say in their heads, this stuff is ancient, get to the modern world dude, wake up, what’s wrong with rewarding hate.

The bias we pass on, the activities we encourage by giving them Ink, the ideas we plant into the head, same as the daft environmentalists, when the river is poisoned they suddenly decide to act.  Solomon prayed for revelation, and help from the world above. He encountered Holy Spirit, encountered the enemies to love as well, there was a need for a worthwhile prayer, a basic set of words that would help all

that was good, so he thought about it for awhile. One thought could turn those who deceive and those who encourage evil into babbling fools, a good idea, imagine if it works. everyday since he listened, the real intentions of many are made known, and it is growing, so much for those who reward hate.

Scripture for Saturday, October 21 (10/21) — Inspirations By Katheryn

The scripture for today, October 21 (10/21), is Proverbs 10:21 as found in the Old Testament of the Bible: “The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack of judgment.” What do you talk about during the day? Do you use proper judgment? Do you nourish others by what you say to them? Are […]
