Can You Hear The Voice….

Beauty hides in the most strangest places, the stuff we surround the head with, the mental picture of the vision we see, the other stuff you learned, well, you thought you knew, the idea of that face producing a sound like that, isn’t that the same way we see a bird, we don’t consider the feathers or how green red or blue it looks, those thoughts are not in your head, your looking at nature, your not trying to analyse it, it’s there, it exists, it’s something you want to listen to, just the voice, it catches our ear, connects with a peace inside us.

The picture in our heads, how we zone in with the eyes, can it be for real, the sweet noise, the picture, what, the voice and sight does not register, it’s the way we see it, the stuff we learned, so this is what we think. Solomon was listening to the voice, the noise was sweet, but the presentation wasn’t exactly great, not what he was used to. The simplicity, it was as if another lesson was learned, how we assume that which we do not understand, can produce such a noise. He recalled the news of the singer on stage, the voice, then the source of the noise, out of reach mentally, not the picture we had of the voice. Is this how those with sight loss see it, with a different sense, or was that How God inside us saw it, amen. We seem so regulated internally, as if we don’t believe it, where did the voice come from after all…

The Preacher and the Power..and Bob Dylan…

Wow, they really respect me, there is a lot they will do for me, the town is mid west, there are swathes of people heading west, the pioneers, many led by preacher men, seeking the gold and their dream homes, a reasonable dream their spirits need some drive, the main decides to hire, the man of words who can stir everyone, the trek continues the pilgrims struggle on, the river is in sight, we will rest here says the preacher man, there is baptism on his mind, this religious business comes with its own rewards, see the respect they have, now that is saying some. The human is a deep soul, there are many lives lived hidden in your blood, the stories of generations, same as those intolerance’s we pass on, a matter of habit.

The times were changing, there was great hope in many hearts, and there are those who will gladly deceive, fools and their dreams are easily parted, apart from their money. Solomon was reading from Esdras, the old prophet was listening to the angel, who was advising him of the world to come, Esdras had many questions, the angel is patient, and gives him the signs. 2,800 years later, the recall of Esdras had much in common with current times. May our Spiritual guides be attempting unity in all that is good sighed Solomon, rather than building  business’s for themselves. Amen..

Outside World

He closes the door, the walk isn’t too far, he wants a cigarette, a fix in the morning a bite in the afternoon, a few cans in the middle, and by four he will be out of it again, outside the world. She will pass by him and shrug, he is on a bench outside the church, lifting her eyes to heaven, she remarks

, did you see the like of that, alcohol drenched sloshed in front of your church, no respect she mutters beneath her breath. He eyes her as she passes; would she ever throw a few coins, has she any heart at all. She can hear his thoughts, his eyes stab her like daggers, in the back. All he does is drink it, she ignores him and walks on.

Mrs O’Neill says the cashier, she is inside the women’s fashion shop, everywhere, it’s spotless and shiny, she is there to try the new dress, there is a wedding coming up. It’s awful what you see on the street these days remarks Mrs O’Neill, referring to the drunk slumped over the bench down by the church. The attendant ignores the remark. A half hour later, Larry is slouched completely, lying motionless on the pavement now. In sleep land, he does not notice Mrs O’Neill as she passes; the smell of alcohol and that other smell, have they no respect she says.

Solomon heard two women in conversation, the sight of alcohol soaked bodies hanging around the sanctuary is too much for them, they have to speak up. What the children are exposed to one of them says. Solomon smiled, God works in wondrous ways, giving us tips, and angels come in all sorts of guises, many times just warning us all, of the outside worlds.

Difficult times help us gain insight … a re blog, I just added a bit to the title..

Psalm 145:1-21 Every believer experiences moments of challenge or discomfort. The question is, How do we deal with them? King David discovered that remaining strong and fruitful during trying circumstances begins with praising the Lord. Then, once his focus shifted upward, he was ready to meditate on the glorious splendor of God’s majesty and also […]

Getting Married, or where did all the years go!

marriage, they were drinking in a downtown bar, an early house. Seven in the morning, the heads were drowsy, the hangover affect, the brain slow to engage, the words just a mutter, a sigh, a fart, what a life.

“Life is a marriage!”

What do you Mean jack?

Well, the day your born your into it, and the day you die you dissolve it, isn’t that a marriage. His friends looked at him, maybe that was it. Divorce was akin to a breakdown, a RETREAT. They shake their heads, his companions. You got it wrong they say. Marriage is a relationship bond, the promise to hang together not alone on the journey. When we get carried away, children arrive and we settle down.

The same way life is a marriage, the older you get, the more becalmed you become.

Get Up!

The preacher woman has put the fear of God in them, the accusers retreat from the hall, they see the moving Spirit, they know she represents God, they all step back, their earlier enthusiasm curbed, once they encounter the power of the all mighty One True God, they had never seen the like. She calls them towards her healing hands, where she will lay them down, the crowd is excited, they have been praying, genuinely calling out loud, Save us they pray, save them she did. The newspapers across the United States were full of the wonders, a preacher woman becomes the most famous woman in America, the years, the 1920’s.

The healing Spirit, the gift she was bestowed with, was not a gift as far as the excess’s of human kind were concerned, more a hindrance, you mean they believe, what a problem they thought; she was not a member of the religious mainstream.

Many years later, Solomon hit the same sea

m, came upon the healing Spirit, had the visit of the Great Spirit, and had used it as his special surprise ever since. Seriously, did anyone think they could scheme against the Great Spirit and escape their destiny, no one did.

The old man is tired, his years are closing in, he has disappointments reminding him, there was more he could have done, he is getting the reminders of eternity, as the dots of old memory join up, why didn’t I notice he sighs, his eyes teary. The door opens, and the old sallow skin changes in color, the eyes brighten up, as love enters the room. Isn’t that so easy to do?

The Singing Sisters

By Jeff Karoub, Associated Press ANN ARBOR TOWNSHIP (AP) – The members of Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, silently filed into the chapel. Within minutes, they were singing — first in unison, then in a transfixing, layered harmony that reverberated off the marble floors, wood-paneled walls and cathedral ceiling. The evening prayer…

The Soul Train

You mean all that stuff is true he asked, the soul train is a connection of working souls, joined together in common purpose, they accept the wisdom of God smiled the old man. The young boy looked at the old man, haggard and worn, the night was cold and the dark was closing in. On his way back from the store, he encountered this lively man with the light eyes. The boy stopped, the old man was seated on a bench, was shivering from the conditions, another long night and the hope of tomorrow, a maybe.

Where you going to stay for the night he asked? The old man smiled, i’ll find a place, on the soul train replied the boy. They made their way down the street, there was a shed out the back of the house, neat and free from the chill, it won’t matter spoke the boy, who told the old man it was going to be fine, he might even be getting a bowl of soup. A blanket, a pillow, a space for the night, the soul train continued that evening, in the heart of the boy that cared. When did you meet me Lord, it was the question that would be on the lips of everyone who asked him

, amen.

Pass in on

She screams and screams till she can’t scream at all, she is practicing for the roaring Olympics, winners get to pass on their DNA. The habits we acquire, each generation has it’s traits, it began with the time of Jesus, when he brought the Spirit into the world, I hear you he says, who needs laws, hasn’t religion divided us for too long, the wars that are fought to express it, our point of view. Why you can’t live without it, it’s very simple, do you want a world controlled by strongmen and those who crave

power, or do you want a world controlled by love, i.e., the way an average home used to be, a sanctuary.

Solomon heard the arguments, and the way the law of the jungle was rolled out to appease argument, same law and mindset, that helped end the life of many premature babies, they won’t be strong, they will be a burden to you, they won’t live fulfilled lives, the assortment of arguments, and the best of all, it’s your life after all, pass it on, it’s your right. Well, Solomon had the news many didn’t want to hear, The God of Heaven is real, and life is a gift, pass it on before you get distracted again.

There’s a line of coke on the table dude, hurry up, nice view he thought, who needs God!.
