Clarisa

The look of despair in a young girls eyes as her father took her to the waterside,

wading in it got colder and colder rises up and up till it came to her shoulder,

Daddy’s eyes smile little girl doesn’t realise this is the last time she’ll feel those ties,

Please please she struggles fighting for her life please daddy gulping then it’s all over,

no more surprise no song for mammy but it’s pleasantly calm she feels no pain,

she’s in the land of the angels and free holding hands with mother nature and friends,

Clarissa was her name and a bright spark and flame she’s an angel now that I’m sure,

Some things we can’t explain we search for reasons but doubts will always remain,

One doubt you can cast away and it’s that your life is a lease you’ll have to give back.Image
