Fracking Fools

Oil guy big smile,

finance guy big sigh,

Put the rig over there,

Hard to hear clearly,

Chopper very noisy,

Million barrels a day,

Amazing the technology,

Pump in the chemicals,

Whoof the oil gas flew,

Water becomes polluted,

Nature reserve destroyed,

Land becomes useless,

A sore in everyone’s eye,

Mr President what’s up,

Energy independence he quips,

Fathers mind your children,

That was just an election boost,

Protester gets twenty years,

For upsetting the president,

Mother Nature howls,

A big freeze you want,

She looks to the sky,

God gives the directions,

Wind blows cold air,

Country freezes everywhere,

They wont frack around much now,

Mother nature is consoled,

For the time being anyhow,

Poisoning the water everywhere,

First the arctic now the rivers,

Can’t believe such stupidity,

Meanwhile chopper stops,

Rotors seize up,

Oil guy finance guy go down,

Pilot miraculously survives,

Two more incoming.

Gates of hell opened,

In the two guys fly,

The end.

Angry Bird and the power of forgiveness…

It’s not often you see a working example of the power of forgiveness, and the practical implications that go with it, or the harshness that results when you refuse to forgive. Turn the other cheek, ignore the insult or the offence, don’t be too touchy, it’s not going to do you any good.

A small affront, the boy does not understand, he upsets his neighbor, the window breaks, the neighbor confronts the boys father, there are words, distance over the fence, other friends hear about it, they repeat old stories, that boy never does as told, why be surprised, the neighbors grow further apart, there is even talk of a lawyer, this nuisance has to stop, the neighbors wife is in on the action, the supporting wife, mother, she agree’s too, she doesn’t talk with her neighbor either, the rift grows. What was once a peace filled area between the former friends, is now a no go zone, the anger between them grows.

Solomon sighed, the words of Jesus, forgiveness is key to finding peace and space inside you. As the story tells you, the gap widens between the neighbor, because one decided to be angry rather than to pass on the incident. How you stop the first reaction, that leads to the next, the blip that becomes a crisis. How many wars were started on a single event, how many wars were started by the faking of a single event, the justification for war. How many people send inflammatory emails and messages to get a reaction?

Hatred needs to feed to survive, love needs to be to survive.

Leave some for your Brother…..

Three pieces of cake on the table, Mother watches, will you leave some for your brother. There was no one else at the table, and her brother had not come home, had not been seen in a long time, Mary looks at her mother, she is dawdling again, has not got over the grief, Mark left the fold six months before, hadn’t been heard from, what was Mom doing, getting upset, she leaves the last piece of cake and grunts, so tasty. Mother knows what she is thinking, but there was a lesson in it, listen child she says to herself. Was it a case of thinking of others, possibly, was it a reminder of the Kingdom come, probably, was it a lesson in greed, absolutely.

Amo was talking with his helper, a young nurse, a woman with a great caring disposition, wisdom won’t be lost on her he felt. Amo sighed, the perfume the young woman, reminded him of his late wife.

What do you Mean Amo she says, I love your eyes he said, distracted by the icy

blues. You old flirt she says, you must have charmed the ladies, he sighs, a few I suppose. Amo gets serious again, well not serious, but in the teacher mode, the lesson comes first.

We live in a world, where more is the creed and greed is blessed by some at the expense of wisdom, when it ought to be the other way around. I had an Uncle says Amo, a man of great Spirit, blessed in heavenly things, in his business dealings, he and his friends, had a practice, a habit passed on from many generations of practice, always leave something for the next man to gain from, never extract the maximum, even when you can, as you only encourage greed, and that harms the Spirit. The nurse sighs, she knows it too well, being a carer, money was never her God, but in business and in life, as more and more struggle, it becomes the way.

So leave something for your brother, says amo, you will be helping someone else.

Solomon sighed, he heard the story from an Uncle. He smiled, the Uncle used to give out to his Father, you could have got more he often said, as the Father was often generous in his dealings, greed never becoming him. The uncle being young, hadn’t the wisdom of the Father, had some way to go as they say. Imagine, Solomon sighs, I have rounded the circle, that will put a smile in a few places…

Open Your Heart

Are you listening, are you too absorbed in yourself to hear, is all you hear your own voice, do you wonder when you read the headlines, can you feel the pain that is felt. When you pass a stranger on the street do you nod, acknowledge, do you carry on down the street, have you forgot the  man begging on the street, when is the last time you opened your heart, have you joined one of those perpetual complaint groups, do you smile a snide smile when you see those above you fall, do you take pleasure in the harm others suffer, are you listening. When was the last time you did something off the cuff that was just good, have you practised all those great sentiments you tell others about, or do you hum inside when they listen to your voice, are you a complete airhead, all noise and no substance, well, when did you last open your heart.

I was hurt he said, he was a bastard she said, recriminations,

so I joined a help group instead, and made a career out of it, when you could have opened your heart and did what Jesus did, forgive, even went to the cross to get the point out, don’t bring the baggage with you, it will drown you.

Solomon smiled, the fingers were ripping across the keyboards, well they always did, he didn’t have to make it up, just let your spirit do the talking and watch the magic emerge. Open your heart, there are so many blessings waiting to be poured out, don’t fill yourself with resentment and hatred, we don’t all eat meat, and sushi is interesting, porridge too. We are all made to be different, same as those flowers, and the birds, wake up, amen. He encountered the Great Spirit, the seal of the divine, it is there, you need to clean up the inside and learn to forgive, amen. Open your heart. If another does you harm, relax, God settles all accounts, and with all the outpouring of Spirit, there are many quaking in their boots, believe me, amen, smile, this is just the beginning.

Self Control

Vietnam, Iraq, the concentration camps, The Irish Famine, the first world war, the traffic in women, slavery, internet pornography, the off shore accounts, the financial traders rigging the market, the banks overcharging the lowly, the cathars, the burning of women, yes, human dignity has been put under pressure, what is there to be proud of. Before pouring the blames out, it’s time to check the mirror, and use some self control, amen.

Thank You

Two words, that don’t add up to much, but when said or spoken mean so much, in the heart of the receiver. Solomon was reflecting on life, all the things that happened, the uphill struggles, and then the arrival of the helpers, so many of them, it was hard to believe.  If there was ever a doubt about the existence of that Other World, Smile,

Solomon had no doubts. Throughout the world, there are helpers, who do it every day, just being themselves, going about doing good deeds, dishing out advice, leaving hints, the proverbial army of God. As leonard said, Cohen that is, we often forget to pray for the angels, well, Solomon sighed, thanks. That will put a smile on a few faces, amen.

I Need Attention

Did you hear, She tells them she needs help, it’s only a call for attention, did you not hear, I was needing your attention, whatever attention was or the intention of the attention, what was it for, did you need me to listen, did you want my attention, is that it? The lengths some people go to be heard, just to get your attention, catch your thinking, wanting you to think about them, seeking your attention.

Solomon sighed, the online world was over coming most forms of instant communications, it was simply faster. A friend nudges him, you would not believe what you’d find on the internet, you wouldn’t believe it, the eyes widen, as if the stuff you wouldn’t want to believe was real after all, even though you wouldn’t want to believe it, do you get me, have i got your attention. Solomon shook his head, the only attention you want is on the book of the living, and getting into that needs your attention.

Implosion

 implosion

Network of men and women, they have a preference for vulnerable children, no one will miss them, and a reference system of social care workers, who for money point out the victims, the background to them, the situation likes and dislikes, the care workers fooled into believing, this network is a charity. It’s a situation repeated the world over, and they prosper in disaster zones, no one has a tally there, and no one has time to listen, but they operate across international borders, exchanging information and opportunity, it might be a boutique hotel in Paris tonight, a motel on Prague tomorrow, a Swiss chalet next month, but everyone gets well paid, and the children get passed around, so they won’t develop any sort of emotional attachment. Professional psychiatrist has advised of this. To those involved, have you seen the picture in the sky, your mind is about to implode, just wait and see, amen. God Most High has decided to act against them all, they wont be doing that again, smiles St.Peter. Image
