Davos

Well, if you are conferred with a talent, there has to be a divine purpose, if you are challenged and you overcome it, it has to strengthen you, and if it happens again, just remind yourself, the Greatest ever born reminded us regularly in so many ways, who Himself was tempted with global authority, what an ego trip, but imagine the power to say no to that, there has to be a rather great reason for it.

Trapped, a word that infers some form of detention, or something to fear, you have to go beyond the normal limits of human thought to imagine the why in all of this, potentially the same can happen any of us, we can become prisoners of the ego, whereby, we cut ourselves off from divine help, does that sound reasonable, well, it explains an awful lot of the mystery, the shepherds became jailers, and sheep became chattels, possession became the law, antagonism becomes rampant, leaving us, the same as sheep without a guarding shepherd, and in real terms, dislocated from Heaven, and all that power and wonder.

Now that that dream is on the Horizon again, and not a pep talk, or a wish, nor a maybe, but real, you can understand the reason for so many positive changes in so short a time span. Fear drives the Spirit inside you, sends it into hiding, amen.

When the Fear is overcome by Spirit, you being to renew.

Edit Your Head

What do you mean, well, they say behind your back what they are afraid to say to your face, Solomon was reminding himself of the power of Jesus’s and I mean power, his words came with authority, they were not a wish, or stuff you want to happen, they came with the power of His God, the Creator of the universe. Jesus wanted harmony, well being, respect, forgiveness, charity and compassion, well, how else could you enjoy the Father, and the great gift you have been given.

When Pharisee’s annoyed him or were talking about him behind his back, he just reminded them. Say what you like about me, Insult the Holy Spirit, well, that’s the line you can not cross, ever. With it being Christmas, the season for all that is good, well, it’s celebrated for many reasons, but for believers, enhancing the reputation of the Father, is tops. Being a Child of the divine, you have to make the effort, you are called to eternal life after all.

With the blurb flying everywhere, buy this, that, be kind, and the other stuff, what are you going to give me, there was a lot in the heads, along with the mad news from the political world, who could imagine what was going on. So Donald has brought all the dirty laundry to dry cleaners, and there is so much of it, it would remind you of the oceans full of plastic, it’s everywhere. Time to edit the head, without a clean environment, there is no life.

Mother and Child

The line is getting close to the check out, she holds her daughter’s hand tight. In a few hours, she will be in another world, a little frightened the way all new visitors feel, when they are somewhere new. Young, too young, she rebelled and ran away from home, that was ten years ago. twenty six now, with a three year old child, she made friends with the first man that seemed okay, she is wiser now, back then she was on the run. She reflects while she stands inline, her life has changed, the small hand in hers, a new responsibility. To be free from the influence, her boy friend so controlling, she hated the life, maybe that’s how a mother feels. She looks at the small human being holding her hand, her life line to the world, yes, that’s me she says to herself. Why has this child taken over my life; she laughed when she heard of friends with children on the way, the way they acted, pretending she imagined; how can one person have such a hold on your life.

The desk assistant smiles when she proffers her pass port. She reaches over the desk, catches sight of the little girl;. going to a new world she says with a smile. The little girl looks at her Mother, hopeful.

Solomon sighed, how many were on the road to freedom across the world. Compassion, love and charity, the very basics required of all those who called themselves believers, amen.

Leave some for your Brother…..

Three pieces of cake on the table, Mother watches, will you leave some for your brother. There was no one else at the table, and her brother had not come home, had not been seen in a long time, Mary looks at her mother, she is dawdling again, has not got over the grief, Mark left the fold six months before, hadn’t been heard from, what was Mom doing, getting upset, she leaves the last piece of cake and grunts, so tasty. Mother knows what she is thinking, but there was a lesson in it, listen child she says to herself. Was it a case of thinking of others, possibly, was it a reminder of the Kingdom come, probably, was it a lesson in greed, absolutely.

Amo was talking with his helper, a young nurse, a woman with a great caring disposition, wisdom won’t be lost on her he felt. Amo sighed, the perfume the young woman, reminded him of his late wife.

What do you Mean Amo she says, I love your eyes he said, distracted by the icy

blues. You old flirt she says, you must have charmed the ladies, he sighs, a few I suppose. Amo gets serious again, well not serious, but in the teacher mode, the lesson comes first.

We live in a world, where more is the creed and greed is blessed by some at the expense of wisdom, when it ought to be the other way around. I had an Uncle says Amo, a man of great Spirit, blessed in heavenly things, in his business dealings, he and his friends, had a practice, a habit passed on from many generations of practice, always leave something for the next man to gain from, never extract the maximum, even when you can, as you only encourage greed, and that harms the Spirit. The nurse sighs, she knows it too well, being a carer, money was never her God, but in business and in life, as more and more struggle, it becomes the way.

So leave something for your brother, says amo, you will be helping someone else.

Solomon sighed, he heard the story from an Uncle. He smiled, the Uncle used to give out to his Father, you could have got more he often said, as the Father was often generous in his dealings, greed never becoming him. The uncle being young, hadn’t the wisdom of the Father, had some way to go as they say. Imagine, Solomon sighs, I have rounded the circle, that will put a smile in a few places…

Migrant Mary

The tent leaks, it’s cold, but there is a TV, she is watching CNN, the debate is very personal, they are talking about the “Wall”, the door is closed to her and many like her, Dear God she says, is this always going to be their way. For cash they will allow the “dreamers” stay on, what sort of thinking is that, to build a wall, everyone knows you can cross any border these days. Mary is not your ordinary migrant, well, no migrant is ordinary, they take extraordinary chances to create a life, and they do. Miguel comes into the tent, her seven year old son, what are you looking at Mam, they are discussing us she says, his eyes light up, you mean we are going to be famous, he gets excited inside, everyone wants to be famous these days, including, seven year old Miguel.

The diseases have eased since the red cross doctors arrived, but the food is staple, porridge with lots of vitamin, meanwhile, the leaders of Davos, sit down to an eight course meal. There is a flash from the cameras, looks delish says Miguel, he is fed up with the bland food, and used to doing without. What are they discussing he says, he’s a smart child, can ask the right question at the right time, will make a good job when he grows up, if allowed, the other options don’t augur well, he is smart, and that is not something to be wasted. You don’t want him becoming a terrorist.

A teacher in her homeland, a number now, counted with millions of others on the move across the globe, when your without and you don’t have an address, there are few who take you seriously.

Solomon sighed, when will they apply the wisdom and teaching of old, all those old gitters are going to face the eternal judge, for real, they will all have to account for themselves, with all their educations and those expensive schools, you’d have thought they might have learned, have they not seen the signs in the Sky, should have gone to the opticians sooner I suppose. A war was raging, the old time nationalists wanted to turn back time, problem was mother nature was weaker, and they were all being used by the new world extremists. At least after all the troubles of the past, the younger set were not going to fall for that, as for Migrant Mary, the tent leaks, the air is cooler, but Miguel still dreams of being famous.

The Pearly Gates Moment….

Getting ready to have the last breath of this world, preparing for the graduation ceremony, you feel the heat, there is a slight panic, you are nervous of course, you have been practicing for this moment all your life, the beats intensify, the moment is near, what will the first question be, you go through the check list ,pass that one, won’t answer the section on charity, give the envy part a miss, you are running out of options, only because you are nervous, but you have been a good student all your life, bing, the machine goes dead, your in forever land, the land is green, there is brightness in one part, you see your friends who passed the test, over in the other corner, those you want to forget, some who wanted to forgive, did i pass the test. St Peter opens the Gate, he scans your soul, what state is it in, did you learn anything he asks, why you ask a question like that, Peter shakes the head, didn’t they tell you, life is a learning experience, not a day trip. You can’t find your voice, but it doesn’t matter, the scan is going fine, no major cracks on the disk, at least they can make sense of it. From around the corner a voice calls out, did you find one

yet, Peter turns his shoulder, not yet, but it’s getting closer. The pearly gates moment, what a day, amen.

An Opportunity to Show Compassion — Jesus is the answer!…. Going the extra mile, in a time of Great Change, thinking of others is not a bad thing…a re blog of course, we are all learners!

Quote

Luke 10:25-37 Today’s passage records one of Jesus’ best-known parables. It’s an illustration of how to display love for God and others, and though the context is ancient Jewish culture, its lessons reach into the 21st century. The story strips away our rationalizations and excuses until we come face-to-face with our need to show compassion. […]

Why should you write…

It was a valid question, he wrote after all, she was a successful doctor, she was trying to understand him, he sighs, she is his type of woman, she actually listens. He gives her his answer..

“when I wake in the morning, it’s a new day, it’s not a case of the same repeating itself, it’s new each and every time, they eyes may tire, but the scene is a new one, no often how often I see it, a bit like your patients I suppose”

She pauses, trying to get her head around it, she nods.

“I get it, we need to be both listeners and observers at the same time!”

he smiles

“when we write about it, it becomes part of history, written with clear eyes, not fogged, as they say”

Up or Down….

Did it matter, they were watching from the shadows, the coins in their pocket jingle, reminding them, there was more where that came from, eyes that pierce. He held the audience, they listened to his words, there was only one of him, they were plenty, how was he able to do it, they were getting angrier by the day, as he stole their claim on them.

Solomon was watching the old clint movie, the “pale rider”, the community miners, and the big business interest, and the conflict. As they stood together, they were strong, alone you were vulnerable, same as a woman on a late night street unlit, there is a threat. In the world of image, where appearances count for so much, did it really matter, where you came from, so long as you stood together. It was the sign of the believers, they did not make comparisons between each other, they worked on helping each other.

It made the actions of Jesus all the more remarkable, under constant threat, he beleived in the Father, and they were not able to do anything.

Doing in the Head…

snake oil salesman, comes to town, opens the back of his truck, this will cure you he howls, while those seeking hope gather round. $2  a bottle, the folks stick out the hand. They are doing their heads in. Jesus sighs, did they ever do anything simple. They put so much effort into getting ready for the ritual, they lost out on what it all means. He is listening to it, so are those who turned away, its simple, you don’t need all that.

Meat, days, washing, foods, he throws his head into the air, why are they making what is so simple complicated; it’s the same as giving a lawyer access to your thoughts, sooner or later they will find some fault and then the arguing and division will come.

He warned the pharisee’s, why do you burden the people, it’s simple. So in order to help, he sits down and tells them the story of the good Samaritan, who were not popular to others in the day. They listen; this dude can call down thunderstorms and miracles, don’t upset him, they listen; How you love is how you treat total strangers, that is who you really are, not just how you treat your friends.

Food on Friday, meat, washing hands, ritual cleaning, circumcision, none of it matters, no matter who who are, if you don’t fully love. The barriers to entry, that religions had created, needed to be revised, it was that simple, unless it was a cult they were aiming to achieve, amen.
