Men and Women

You and me, we get to know each other, we wriggle with our fingers, there is an energy, you can read each others thoughts, how are our emotions in tandem, then we part, the memory remains, wish I could have more of that, she sighs, when I am with you I think of nothing else.

Solomon listened to the prophet woman, she had staying power, was on a one person mission, her devotion clear, aimed at pleasing God. Solomon listens, she rattles on, he nods, some days we have to clean, other days we wash, we smarten ourselves up, fine, there are a lot of changes in a single minute, the memory of 9/11 a very real event, along with the multitude of assaults on civilians, who had their entire towns bombed from a safe height, we all have ideas of righteousness, not all of them work out.

Men and women said Solomon, he threw out the point, we are in this together, all of us, none of us made it without the other, so why all these differences then. He wanted to invite her over for a chat; there were a few holes in her thought process and Solomon wanted to help her fill them in; If you are going to teach Jesus, God, and the Holy prophets, you need to have a base built on compassion. an understanding of unconditional love, and the humility of a farmer depending on the weather, please.

Little Brother

What are you doing, I’m talking to you, the small child ignores his senior, continues with the virtual game, it keeps the mind occupied, what difference does it make he thinks, an extra half hour on the machine, he punches the buttons, it’s exciting, ignores the older person. Child is dismayed, watched a documentary recently, the failure of the adult population and now the existence of the world is endangered, enjoy it while you can, he has heard all the feel good blurb, one life, do what you can, chase the power and the cash, and the thrill if you can, everybody else is at it, Doesn’t God understand, the child is engaged in mind, the game continues, heard some leaders on TV, the game is all that matters, well, he picks up on the propaganda, can fool his mother his teachers, just about everyone, what are you looking at Big Brother, I’m doing what you have all been doing all these years, looking after yourselves, he looks at his older brother with contempt.

The Bishop makes an appeal in church, the environment, the little boy listens, wishes that the bishop was more exciting, and said something he’d hadn’t already heard. They preach from comfortable positions, you are not fooling anyone. as for the Treatment of women, this child has heard from his grannies conversations with friends, he is a bit of an eavesdropper, all children are, the desire to learn burns inside them. Voting rights only arrived in the last hundred years, and they burned women for having ideas, the little boy listened to those stories, didn’t like what they did to women, he loves his mother, and now they call themselves his mothers friends. does not like his mother portrayed as a sexual object either.

Solomon smiled, the wisdom of God and the foolishness of men, they haven’t a clue. Leaders rise up, and make fools of the usual candidates, Donald Trump comes to mind, every vice of the human race, seemingly, his brand is bumped into cyber space, and the sound byte gets him elected, the elongated strategies of the solid candidates ignored, same as the child and his little brother, why should you listen to more of the same, when in the past they let everyone down, the child is no fool, and no one fools God. Well, playing games with climate change fools no one ,a case of a boy called wolf, amen. Power, money is control, watch them come, watch the forests burn, really…

And you want to send example to your children, they usually imitate you.

Jesus in the Desert

Amo was teaching his class of young hopefuls, the Season of lent had become them, he was trying to explain it, there was so much confusion, long prayers and lists of words, what did it all mean, how do you fill a young mind with wisdom that will stay, do you bore words of repetition into their heads, do you argue like a lawyer until you wear them out, knowing they will grow tired and just give up, can you enforce them. Amo knew of the existence of God, had no doubts as to the power of Spirit, he had a dream the night before, a friend from a past life, came to explain, excuse his behavior and deceitful

ways, knowing that Amo was connected as they say. How do you justify yourself in your relationship with God. It was a question on the minds of many. Learning to forgive is wisdom personified.

In the Desert, Jesus wanders, free from the bias of the world, no favorites, only survival or death, it requires a lot of trust, so into the Hands of his father he throws his lot, this will end great or I will lose my mind, every problem you can imagine will greet me, I will soon find out, you survive it.

It’s going to be the opening statement, leave the resentment behind you, start from fresh, same feeling you get, when you are delivered from a life defying moment, relief and thanks, especially when it is unexpected. When it happens twice, you have a double reason, perhaps because we all doubt, because we all need reassurances, we are all children after all.

Amo, had a few lines of thought, more than one type of fly as if he was a master fisherman, a fly for every occasion. If the container is full of dirt and dangerous thoughts, harmful to the Spirit, did you insurance run out, worries. The stuff that fills the head, all that we learned and the stuff passed on. Lent or times of reflection, allow us the time and space to clean up, one way of putting it. If we don’t clean it out, the head, the stuff that remains inside us, is the same as dirt that attracts all sorts of bad things.

Amo sighed, he needed to think more, but he smiled, the class was listening.

empathy for the refugee

Empathy, one track in a spaghetti junction of choice, what route will you take?.

The end of the matter,  woman walks hospital, in her P.J.’s, she’s ill and hopes, the doctors see her most days, they have her on hold, not sure if she’ll recover, but hopeful. The cost of comfort is innocence. The counters on both sides, the division bell, the referee’sof love or hate, chalk her down. The mystery of numbers, the scores close, will it reach a tipping point. Nervous smiles as another load go headlong down the main highway, the easy route, and it end’s nowhere. Fat Gary winks. The game will be over in no time at this rate. Pilgrims progress poor, around the bend, torment.

Heaven’s team is getting nervous.

You promised us a saviour says one

White beard sipping wine, shakes his head, just like the days of old, little faith. Have fear will run, will listen to anyone, it’s a miracle anyone every made it through. There’s a tap on the door.

Peter opens the door. Little boy big smile, two foot tall, peter stoops, he’s wearing a smile.

And where do you come from asks peter talking the boy inside. The child has arrived in heaven, made it through. Another recruit for the army of angels being prepared. I was crossing the water when I fell in, is my mother here he asks, all impish. Peter gives him a re assuring hug, she’s over there he points, with her other relations.

Peter taps into the child’s conscious, and the family left behind. They are hovering in a hospital room, the boy is on a bed. The father is praying. Relations around him, TV camera’s outside waiting, international news, this boy is certainly special, has managed to change many hearts.

What do you think, what are the choices?, do you believe in being born again?.

Boy opens his eyes, renewed with spirit, lives, everyone rejoices, mother is in tears, doctor cant explain, he must be blessed, another day another miracle. She reads the story of the boy on the beach, realises the gift before her eyes, gets to her knees, will be forever in debt, amen. empathy, the power of good example, amen.
