Seeking Perfection

She has shoes with holes, it’s raining, the toes squelch, she can hear the noise, she walks even slower, she is embarrassed, doesn’t want her friends to know. A dry table, a place to sit, a cup of tea or coffee, a few minutes to sip,

to rest, to feel normal, is like seeking perfection. Her home is now a dorm, her needs are met, you could call her lucky, her doctor tells her she is all right. A little mental instability, it spiraled, she lost control in a rage, picked up a bottle, lost her home, an apartment, when they sent her to jail. Lucky girl, it was one of those modern facilities; a case of a little business, when the Government farmed out the prison service, how you farm out care, is one of those mysteries, in a world seeking perfection. $$$$

Solomon read the old story tellers lament; the lack of literacy, and the inherent problems that it causes, and how its’ revealed in the prison population. No one cares said the old sage, it’s been like this for ages and gets worse as time lengthens. So many worry about the perfect smile, are the teeth straight, how can I get my lips to pout, do you think it would be better with highlights, the hair, do I really need a second face lift; choices.

It’s how you spend your time; seeking perfection, its’ the eye of the worrier, amen.

Head Dress

Don’t we catch ourselves out so easily, the dogma that ties us up in chains, all that is learned, the regulations, how we survive, by gathering up a list of stuff we have to adopt our lives too, so darn predictable. Behind the veil, there is a Spirit, a person, same as in olden times, before divorce and the microwave, changed the way we do things, no need to be worried if you are late for dinner, stick it in the oven, as for divorce, it’s common, it’s just an agreement between lawyers.

The Spirit has to live, it has to breathe, it has to move about, it’s the same as a stream of water, it has to flow. She had bright ideas, but they told her it wasn’t her place to have an opinion, she persists, this is my life, so she is a warrior, she has been chosen for a task, there is so much of the Spirit inside. Slowly and slowly, the Spirit deadens, the mind becomes unbalanced, she is trying to Hold her Spirit. Young man wants to serve God, the teaching authorities decide that you have to lose yourself before you can be programmed to their way of thinking, so it’s seven years before you make an exit from the seminary, when all that is in your head, is what is called foundation, whatever that is supposed to mean.

Solomon wondered at the daily ways souls try to make contact with their divine helpers, the Spirit, the little habits we store inside us, the candle, the little routines we try to build into our busy lives. A thousand thoughts a second are permeating the air, the natural electric charge is heightened, it’s not the same air either, and the growth of stress is approaching epidemic levels, who doesn’t feel the stress, the child in school has got more than textbooks to understand, there is the new social environment as well, it’s pretty heady.

She sits in her room, the head dress is off, she looks at herself in the mirror, tries to re assure herself, she is on medication because she is Spirited, not for any other reason. In the bad old days, they sent them to the Gulag, for retraining, as it’s called, she is well aware, hang on she tells herself, the helper always arrives. Finding the space, is this what the homeless teach us everyday, are they teaching us more, amen.

Too Devout For Me….

It’s not easy, and eternity is a real destiny, the words of old and the habits of some, they are too devout, do you see the way they pray, we’d never go that far, then the heart twinkles, and you get a reminder of heaven, there are healings, the sky, the patterns in the sky, even the numbers. reminders, there is Heaven, and these are reminders that’s all.

Solomon watched as some built walls and the others who built bridges, one view was entrenched, the other wanted to encourage and is divine, way some folks are more inclined towards love than others. As for security, what is more secure than a real world love that never fails. Solomon had prayers answered, encountered the angels, there was nothing to prove, Heaven is real, I hope that isn’t too devout for you.

Did they ever imagine it; those leading the way, encouraged daily, with the prayers they uttered every day, thoughts of heart felt wellness, were

lighting the path. Ironic sighed Solomon; One side was critical of the others, each fault finding, that’s too much some would say, the habits or the practices. Perhaps, all those disagreements were ways to get people to notice each other, same way a rebellious child causes a nuisance, amen.
