LYING IN BED

Of course I want to see you again, he’s empty, waiting for an excuse to leave her, she is vulnerable, he loves me, but that was a half hour ago, what does she want now. Those web services, no commitment sites, married divorced, what ever you want, click the button and you can flirt with them all day. Its like emptying your head into another, passing the fantasy on, and none of the physical stuff till you only want one thing, satisfaction.

So easy, on the subway, how easy to fantasize, weird stuff, it was better than going to see a therapist, and others asking for more, wanting to hear your own weird stuff, the worse you got the more they listened, what a dream, being able to pour your fantasies into the world, with no consequences, no chance of catching a disease, your secret, so you thought.

On the waiting list for a liver transplant, he is thinking back, it seemed like yesterday. The world was at his feet, and more money to burn than time. How he wasted so much. The news of miracles and divine interventions was wrecking his head, It wasn’t news that we was able to turn off, the news, the signs. He was supposed to be a street wise analyst.

Old Friends, A Living Prayer

Daisy D gone to the world above, your kindness towards others inspired so many, Old Amo, your wisdom is still is use, that Spirit is alive too, Gerry W, you were so kind and patient, they all still miss you, enjoyed the wine and the banter, never a cross word, calm in a storm, there are few like you, Miss Philomena, you were the most active of angels, like your Father before you, and to all the others, so many great souls have passed to the world above, a harvest of goodness followed them. Being in the zone, Solomon was calling on the Great Spirit, the Father of Heaven and Earth, remember those who fell in your service, the Spirit you filled them with, is badly needed again on earth, the voices are calling out, Amen.

Solomon sighed, his prayers got heard, so why not ask, put in the request, you will get a fair old hearing. He asked for help, did what many considered impossible, if only he sighed, they had seen the Invisible. Don’t put a limit on your heart, use it. What good is all the tomorrows, when today is the only day that matters.

He sighed, his little friend, and all the children under threat, were getting help from the only source the demon feared, and that was music to his ears.

24 Seven Care in a 365 day world…

Imagine your old, unable to do it for yourself, in need, walking a difficulty, eating a scary feeling, you can’t chew that well, the risk of food getting stuck in your throat, not forgetting the medication, a number of conditions, from heart beat to sleep, you need the basics, just to get through the day, then remind yourself, all the news chasers, responding to isolated reports, the difficulties some elderly live with, then recall the struggle, of those daily providing the caring, cleaning dirty nappies, assisting with toilet, responding to the alarm bells through the night, imagine what it’s like working and living in that world, always trying to be uppity, going room to room, with advice for everyone, doing the chore, being patient while the residents are not so pliable, feeling confined as they are, in their limited life space, would you do those tasks, for 10 to fifteen euro’s or dollars per hour, or would you leave it to someone else.

Imagine it, if we live long enough, we will be all in the hands of the carers; isn’t time to moved it a notch upwards, those menial jobs many deride, cleaning and feeding the elderly, who once were the Kings and Queens of their neighborhoods, just a thought for a Thursday, amen.

And when things go wrong, everyone shouts, we need a lawyer here, not that the residents are going to benefit, well, at least some good came out of it you say, something for yourself of course, hey, we paid good money, doesn’t those words ring bells in your head!

Oil King…

We make decisions based on wrong and right, it’s black and white, the words sound good, the others in the room nod their heads, well said sir, we don’t make decisions based on the wealth we are entitled to, Solomon sighed, the boss see’s it rather different, what was your responsibility sir. How often they went to war to enrich the few, their sidekicks in place, preparing the contracts before the war even begun, sad but true, nothing escapes the boss you see.

The rhetoric was well rehearsed, the spin doctors well paid, the feel good, that was all that mattered, the blue shirt worker nods his head as he sips his beer, has seen so many jobs disappear to overseas lands, someone has to put an end to it, the rhetoric he hears goes down well, the PR guy smiles, this is working Bob, great cheers, they hide their ill gotten gain overseas, in places few ever heard about, the oil company president is in a great mood, we have to give those spin doctors something extra, he doubles their bonus’s.

At the gates of heaven, the financial elite arrive, they push their way to the top, we have special passes they say, Saint Peter is not impressed. He has the inside story, the reasons they tried to justify war, and how they sold it to the public, no can do he says, but they insist, they show their passes, forgeries mutters Peter.

How many sold out, for the money they were about to make, no can do, there are strict rules to entry, into the house of God, it’s this simple: what did you do for love?

In the furnace, the heat is searing, no relief, a glass of water please, the oil baron calls out to saint Peter, could you send them a warning, please he begs, Peter sighs ,it’s the same as global warming, they only listen when it’s the end.

Lazarus overhears the conversation, i told you so he says to his real friends…..
