24 Seven Care in a 365 day world…

Imagine your old, unable to do it for yourself, in need, walking a difficulty, eating a scary feeling, you can’t chew that well, the risk of food getting stuck in your throat, not forgetting the medication, a number of conditions, from heart beat to sleep, you need the basics, just to get through the day, then remind yourself, all the news chasers, responding to isolated reports, the difficulties some elderly live with, then recall the struggle, of those daily providing the caring, cleaning dirty nappies, assisting with toilet, responding to the alarm bells through the night, imagine what it’s like working and living in that world, always trying to be uppity, going room to room, with advice for everyone, doing the chore, being patient while the residents are not so pliable, feeling confined as they are, in their limited life space, would you do those tasks, for 10 to fifteen euro’s or dollars per hour, or would you leave it to someone else.

Imagine it, if we live long enough, we will be all in the hands of the carers; isn’t time to moved it a notch upwards, those menial jobs many deride, cleaning and feeding the elderly, who once were the Kings and Queens of their neighborhoods, just a thought for a Thursday, amen.

And when things go wrong, everyone shouts, we need a lawyer here, not that the residents are going to benefit, well, at least some good came out of it you say, something for yourself of course, hey, we paid good money, doesn’t those words ring bells in your head!

The Great Promise

I will send the Holy Spirit, he will come and tell you the words, you will be defended, nobody, no power on earth, can overcome the Spirit that I will send. The apostles look at each other, great, I hope he is not telling us lies. Jesus raises the eyebrow, they will get it eventually, he has much to do, but he told them, it will be okay. Two thousand years ago, what a promise… many years later, struggling writer is at the desk….

The Spirit arrives, he writes a few cures, it begins to happen, he can find the words, they just come, incredible. It’s real, praise the lord he smiles, his fingers on the keyboards, you mean you can write a better future, Yes you can, amen. Better wish carefully, amen.

Bob’s Reward

Mr Dylan, we are pleased, to announce, where’s the coffee honey, another one of those crank emails, sure bob, he’s busy writing a song, what you working on, just a dittie dear, trying to find a few choice words, a hum a hum a dee a dee hum do do dee, how’s this honey, refugee’s want to find a home a group of millions that’s there sum, no one wants them they are a liability you see, they remind us of our failings all of them including me, that sounds interesting, what’s it about dear, the refugees everywhere, they are trying to find some space, a place filled with dignity and a little respect.

The world was not short of space or cash, 24 trillion off shore and too many living in the built ups. They are on the phone bob! she says, it’s real, they want to give you an award, what, an award, there’s a crisis going on in front of their noses, why don’t they focus on solving that problem and when they fix it tell them to ring me back.

Solomon was watching the playground of the elite, it was a simple football game but the comparison could not have been more bleak, while they played and complained and ached at every tackle, the children on the coast of France were being moved around like cattle, Solomon understood bob’s unease at the offering of the award, but he pointed them in the right direction, getting them to think and he was not alone, amen.

as if a few of them could not organise a little help, Solomon

shrugged, he’d encountered the Holy Spirit, and that meant the reality of God Most High, prayers were being said and heard, amen.

Old Celestine

Demented crazed obscure over exaggerated fantastic lunatic story lines, over dependent self interested totally absorbed suicidal character forms, unrealistic over technofried over sexualized plot styles money orientated wealth directed totally desensitized populations, what a blast that took some energy I tell you!

Children had held bomb controls in their hands wondering what to do with them, adults medicated just smile try a few of them, come to the adult disco you’ll never be short of company, Babylon is a great place nothing to worry about there, just join in and get down and get out of your mind, zealots alarmed afraid to, am I describing the human race or is it a viable description of the Ukraine, hard to work out the truth of any situation with many in denial,  truth the enemy  many examples since the beginning of time, since the birth of Christ and long before, people who spill the beans and the things they go to prison and their death for, all nations on the earth be it Burma Israel Ireland united states of America, England, Scotland, Germany, wherever you look truth was Imagehard won, we even have laws, whistleblower legislation to safe guard those who tell the ordinary public what they ought to know. How mad is this, just reflecting on a story I read last night from a very old manuscript, the last writing of an old man 800 years ago, pope Celestine was his name and he gave us this warning, and I’m just after repeating it in the tale that went before, imagine that, wonder where the inspiration came from for the old man, just a rambler I suppose, amen, old Celestine where do the years go!
