Mr Gandhi, Happy Birthday

Yes, today is his birthday, that humble man, who forsook the normal world as we see it, and gave his time to finding a solution to the Indian Issue, how peace works best, we recall his ways, and in times of conflict many recall his methods, the heart needs to change for real change to begin, and he reached out to others, his Faith was of God, there was no other, today Mr Gandhi, across the world in many places, many are saying prayers of thanks, for that Spirit of peace and non violence you poured into the world.

Solomon sighed, we need more of that Spirit, and Mr Gandhi’s example. Where are the great men of this generation, are they spending many millions on private this and that, what will their legacy be wondered Solomon. No matter how hard others tried to sway his opinions and twist his faith, Solomon could not ignore the power of Spirit, and the night it came to visit, and it came, it was the greatest of all truths, the stories of old, were made real. You mean we are all divine, well, this is what Jesus told his early followers, there is Spirit, there is God, you have to create the space inside, which is not that easy in so busy a world, just requires time and space, should you decide, amen.

Needles

She runs in the door, has a mind filled with anger, she is going to upset the first person she meets, she is as primed as an atom bomb, wants to destroy and do nothing else, a habit she formed, a bit of self a bit of life, needle them they said, what is that.

The image, the pin prick, the drop of blood, the mixture heated over the spoon, the wired vein, the plunge, and that sinking feeling. A long way from the lawyers office, where Mr Big and his educated lawyer conduct their affairs. Expensive brands cut leather shoes, bleached teeth too, a far cry from the uneducated addict, sitting in slum land, taking what he or she can get, used as a toe rag, out of sight of family, they have already forgot.

Needles, the stone in the shoe, the little annoying journalist who wont give up the story, the ache in your heart, the feeling that wont go away. She needles everyone.

Solomon smiled, there was a lot of joy about, the eyes told their own story, many held smiles, a few wore frowns. the needle he surmised, help from above. To imagine that your life really counts, and you are not a statistic after all, despite what you have been forced to believe, in order to stay alive.

How the miracles of olden times, needled the Spiritual leaders of those times. He is stealing our flock, they listen to him, we have to do something about it. 2,000 years later, they are still listening, amen. You have to needle them sighed Solomon, same way you prod at times, amen.

Secret Worlds According to Victor Hugo

The history of nations, the oppression of the weak and vulnerable, the call for a fairer system, while the word of God failed, as preachers joined forces with those who lorded it over the lower classes, how the works of Jesus were forgotten, while clever men wrote books explaining it all, in accordance to what they thought, their words, only pebbles in the wall of understanding, their pride overcomes them, same way a starlet these modern days soaks up the accolades. Solomon was always a fan of the french nation, no one forgets the revolution, and those that came after those mad days, don’t have to be told, you don’t lord it over people, you have to love them all. Victor was a rare exception, he says it well, mixes history with a story of redemption.

Solomon loved the streets of Paris, as a tourist it wasn’t a struggle to survive, he had time to wonder, the long lunch, the dress, the bread, and the wine, the pride of the wine maker, the classifications, how they clap at the end of the movie, okay, so they don’t have big houses, four rooms could be their mansion, entertaining and meeting others was the life, the early morning argument in the cafe, men in their work overalls discussing politics before they went out to sweep the streets, their Pride in the Nation, blessed they believe by God.

So in order to overcome the powers of the authority, you have secret languages and signs, words, obfuscation as some would say, the hidden truth that Greed can destroy, you have a soul, and when mixed with good love, there is great power. Victor and his friends tried to remind us of this, I guess they still are. There is a God they all say, amen.

Harry the Potter

Amo, what does He mean when he uses words such as potter, and stuff, it’s rather confusing, the request of a small child. Amo drifts back to his school days, he is having a recall while lying in bed in his care home. The thoughts on his mind when he faces the divine one, it’s like preparing for an exam, and Amo has high expectations.. A teacher all his life. He tries to remember the answer he gave that day. The child had one of the harry potter books in his hands, was there a connection he could make.

Amo thinks, don’t pretend if you don’t know the answer, and if it’s an educated guess admit it. Amo is tired of the so called global experts, and their expert opinions, it hasn’t worked, caused huge global problems, these so called expert opinions. A bit like Brexit and the United Kingdom, a huge bonus for every country but the United Kingdom, so much for expert opinion.

The potter fashions the clay, creates the vessel that holds liquids or foods, enables us to sit down and eat together. Without a vessel to hold water, think how difficult it would be. The Child nods, easy to understand that. So when it goes wrong sighs Amo, what does the potter do, say when it begins to leak. The child nods, that’s easy the little boy says. He makes a new one. Amo’s face widens into a grin, a wise little vessel this one is. Amo continues.

The clay can be refashioned too, when it gets out of shape he says and needs to be adjusted. You mean when it’s been made asks the Child. Amo sighs, God does not make mistakes, he wants to get it right. How about this he says smiling. The times when you know you done wrong and allow someone else to take the blame, how do you feel about it after, The child sighs, tears in it’s eyes, you feel bad, and you try to avoid them, don’t you, he says.

Amo is trying to connect the thinking of the Child to wisdom, there is no one solution. In his mind he recalls the teaching of Jesus, the faults that are passed on when we can’t forgive, and the resentment it causes later, and the harm passed on.  That would be one reason for refashioning the clay, apart from the destruction of the message it was supposed to carry… One way of putting it, enough for one day he sighs, the class is over, he is back in his bed in the care home, but smiles at the memory of long ago, seeds well sown, he’ll pass that test all right.

Children’s Day

Mother’s day, women’s day, father’s day, international this day, international that,. this the other, postcards, preparations, the party afterwards, the novelties, the protests, the speakers, the conference, the global speeches, what a load of what, you ask?

The old musketeers, this is old France, the sun king, the belief in the wonders of God, the upstairs and downstairs attitude, those that exceeded their power, loosing their heads, in every way imaginable, you can’t abuse power and get away with it, have all the tyranny you want, but you are not going to get away with it, there are those who will ensure that, there are those who know what is divine.

Solomon sighed, he saw the attitude on the faces, the lives that jumped forward to another time, saw the breakdown in society, the denial of children, of a healthy living world, then passing on the news to their counterparts of old, the car exchanged for a horse, the law replaced by a sword. This is worth fighting for they say. The roots of our problem sown in the past.

Children’s day, not a roll out of all the great advantages that we fill our selves with, feel good is great, they felt the same way on the Titanic, we are all going on a holiday. All the stress that is created, the effort to focus on the lower regions, its’ very pleasurable they say, but there is time, let us grow up first.

What would they think, those who went before us, not the closed minded, but those who were enlightened, and there are many Spirits, watching our progress, even today, wondering what we are going to do next. Are we going to ruin it for everyone, or do something good. Thoughts for a Monday.

Flight of Destiny….. could be a diva’s dream….

The wings rise in union, the small creature is carrying a message, destiny calls, obstacles in the sky, the usual predators and obstacles, and the latest threats, the magnified air, the invisible microwaves, can send the radar spinning, little dove is one of many, that have set off before, it’s a journey across the world. Little heart, she recalls the day she was born, the shell cracked open, it wasn’t easy, she had to move around until it fell away. Interesting, you noticed everything around you, the beginning, your first breath of fresh air. Never did you imagine you’d be flying high up there, even if you were made for the journey, it’s a surprise every time, the lift and you’re airborne, no jet or exhaust fumes. Sally flaps her wings, a little slower than before, her tempo is slowing, it will soon be time to rest.  Rather than cross the ocean at the widest point, when the others didn’t return, it was decided you’d cross as much land, in case it was the water that caused their demise. You are trying to follow the map, but you found out early, that even the landmarks had changed, cities where there were towns, but some are still there. A church steeple or another holy place, the only places where you can find safe nights rest, clouds on the horizon too, rain, it only adds weight, normally it wouldn’t matter, but this was not a normal journey, the message you carry, has the key that will open the gates of Heaven. A couple is getting married, and your arrival at a certain perch will be a sign, then the book is revealed, the holy men and women will unite.

The rise in electronic masts, the waves, the frequencies they interfere with, is putting your navigation skills to the test, but your one of the last ones, they said you did not fly that fast, lucky for you, it is giving you time to circle problems rather than immerse in them. The wings are heavy, you have been flying a Lindbergh, non-stop for five hours, you need a rest. It’s essential, put the wings down and have a good eat.

There is no need to carry anything, otherwise, you don’t fly, one of the great secrets, you and your kind know too well. The way humans worry, there you are waiting to gather a few crumbs, the conversations you hear, when they are troubled help is sent to them, an army of flying helpers, everyone has a specific purpose. The mind is tired, and you need to stay focused, the old teachers words, the reason you and all you feathery creatures were created, at the time, perhaps too young, you thought it was an exaggeration, now, in this time of stress, what you thought was an excess, it holding you in shape, strange words you sigh, the ache on the wing is forgotten, you could fly for hours if you stayed in this frame of mind.

Haven’t been home in a year, what is taking so long, when you get there you will be on time, what sort of timetable is this, that’s what they said to you at the beginning, what planning, you can never lose, then you remember the month you spent in the sun, unplanned, but you were having doubts, and the company was great.  Fresh homegrown bread with lots of grains every morning, berries and all sorts of fruit, some you only heard of, served to you every morning by the gentle mullah, while there was a war going on in all directions, maybe it was wise to stay when you did. Two weeks at the monastery, they treated you as if you were a royal guest, boy did you live it up that fortnight and put on a couple of ounces you had to shed before you were able to take flight. There, you spot the steeple, the head changes, you turn the flaps on your wing, you do a recognisance, there could be a hidden mast, and that’s an experience you don’t want to repeat, sent you off course for five hundred miles, your lower in the sky, you do a second pass, nothing dangerous, it’s a real monastery, not one of those private homes, it’s safe to land.  Some damn map you say.

She wakes from her dream, her first interview today, a young aspiring actor, she has a big heart, wants to play those roles that inspire, give heart, if only she can overcome those obstacles. Her bedroom door opens, her breakfast, eggs benedict, her eyes lift, just the start I needed……what a dream, imagine being a little white dove, do you know what that means….

The Shopping List

A budget few can imagine, he intends to treat himself, do one of those things, a twenty million dollar budget, peanuts really, he sips the end of the coffee, the room is conditioned, the air changes every five minutes, he is in the art gallery auction room, he has been eyeing a particular painting, wants to have it on his wall, view it as he takes his morning coffee, at home. The sales assistant has an MBA from Stanford, and a hundred other qualifications. Her couture is french, it goes with the heritage of the artist she is selling today, it’s a done deal, she is just a Maitre d. His mobile pings, he purses his lips in a happy way, strolls down the screen, a dab hand, he flicks to the email, he is a kind man, rarely self indulges, it happens to be his birthday. The news is good, a friend is recovering from a life changing illness, he closes the device, Ms Couture approaches, one final look she says, as she leads him to the showing room, where the packers are about to crate the new purchase.

He never sold much in his lifetime he says, referring to the original artist, one of those reclusive types, his life being all art, as all he did was convey messages with it.

Beautiful she says, standing back, I’ll miss it when it goes she adds, looking at the four by six, painted three hundred years before.

I’ll make sure it goes back to you when it’s time he says. She is surprised by the words, what does he mean, is it a present for a later date. he looks at the expression on her face, she is wondering at his words. He shakes his head.

“Everything in this life is borrowed, one day you have to give it back. Nice to look at though over a good coffee”

So much for the shopping list….
