Ezra

Can you imagine the situation, Men appearing in places, with gifts of the Spirit, and this a recurring act, as the prophets appear, each one, reminding the people, There is God, get back on track, don’t turn your back to eternal life. Old scripture is full of words to this affect, there are many of them. Ezra, his words, 2,700 years old, but still relevant. The days are hot, the people toil on the land, there is a great commotion, the Prophet issues a warning, the others in the town wonder, what is this for.

Ezra, was he right about the trumpet, who was the angel that he talked to, why did he go out to a field where there had been no human life, why was he chosen to be a messenger of God. Greta Thunberg, the young environmentalist, address’s the rich and famous of the world at Davos, to some it’s grand standing, there are those using the marketing opportunity to convince the young, that something concrete is being done, saying stop, don’t get annoyed, we know there are two billion of you, while in davos, there is only the numbers, that would fill a medium sized village, that’s a great difference in numbers. If all those affected by the so called harm and injustice, ever got together, there would be no need for Davos.

So Ezra listens to what the Lord tells him, Ezra pleads, why Lord. Then the wisdom is passed on, it says simply, there is very little that you understand, just accept it, and as for priority, there is more interest in what is common, than what is rare, so do you really think you are that clever. No says Ezra, there is much to learn.

Being independent, Ezra, he goes to a quite place, arranges for what he has to write down, passes on the wisdom. That was when the time was 2 and a half terms from the completion of the world cycle, which was cut shorter still, with the arrival of Jesus.

Interesting reading, Ezra.

Secrets of the Heart…

They say your real treasure lies in there she said, while pointing to her heart. Gloria was with her grandson at the kitchen table, the family having come on a holiday visit, in there she said again, this time, tapping her heart with her forefinger, her thumb pointing  up towards the sky, sign language.

Bypassing the daily stuff, freeing the mind, giving your self inside space, the ability to absorb what is lasting and eternal, against the flow of that which perishes. Solomon was reminding himself, the ancient words are so life giving, but because their meaning had been lost in the mad world so many tried to cope with, it was not easy finding the space, and even harder at times, keeping the space once found. He compared it with a parking meter, into which you had to put real coins, it had to be topped up regularly.

The mystery of God was and is the greatest mystery of all, how does it work, why does a bird simply fly at will, why do humans worry so much about the material, when only the Spirit is eternal. Solomon was listening to music, and wondered ever more, how music was so calming, and free.  His heart could be moved to a time and a place, with the mere lyrics of a tune and a sweet rhythm.

Being Lucky

Does it matter where you come from, or is it in the rearing as not everyone turns out the same, it’s a question of wisdom, nothing else, so before you remind yourself of every prejudice out there, the Irish and British have got over it as they say, and the one thing they had in common is a common faith that is without prejudice that comforts them, Belief in God Most High and the existence of evil. It’s the rearing of the children that leads to better generations of people, and in a nutshell, the current state of the word is down to the quality of the seeds we reproduce, ourselves basically, we are watering the whiskey for far too long, it’s called the genetic affect and they have proved this in the pharma and medical industries, it’s not a question of who what or where you are from, the colour of the sin, even religion, it’s a question of, if you love or don’t, and the Irish seem to do it well, and having withstood 700 years of freedom fighting, we have practice as they say. So in a nutshell, we pass on our experiences, and why this is so important, is that we can actually improve things, by being aware of the experiences we  pass on, and it’s something great mothers do well, I’m not partisan in any regard, but I know the value of a great mother, and that makes me lucky for being born, as they say, it’s a gift.
