To spend an hour getting the crease right, get angry, getting upset, getting wound up, feelings you will have forgotten an hour later, only to get annoyed in the office, when a junior makes a mess, an opportunity to show your credentials, imposing your will over another human being, same as the tramp who becomes a millionaire after winning the lotto, who starts imposing his will over those who looked down on him, because he can, and everyone bowing and smiling at what they were repulsed by, cause they now want a share of what he has now, not that they had any notion of sharing his anxiety or distress. Is that a description, or just a throw away comment; but then again there are those who dress to impress, sort of fool us, as if their beauty will distract us and we will not be interested in anything else. Head thrash sighed Solomon. The lowest common denominator, had changed, sex and money had been replaced by the environment, times were changing.
So many spend their existence climbing the ladder, hoping to mix with those who have, spending their lives gathering what they will have to give away in the end, perhaps praying more as they age, hoping, while holding on to what chains them to the material, recalling their friends who have gone, wondering if they will meet after they pass, wondering who are their friends in Heaven.
Solomon paused, there was talk of change on the talking drums, was it talk, or was their going to be action. To have lived with those who lived fulfilling lives, who are recalled on account of their kindness, recalled cause they were compassionate, recalled because they were not the judging type, recalled because they leave a legacy worth remembering.
The Great truth, in times of old, the certainty of Heaven, and life mirrored that belief in many places; there is a God, you better listen and whatever you do, don’t offend him. Solomon sighed; when you know this truth for certain, and for certain he knew, it was wise to leave a legacy that others would find helpful, in their time too.
The Journey, the steps, the influences, the souls we encounter, the time we give to others, the success we can put down, it’s not going anywhere, like a book you can pick it up again, later. He sits in rehab, trying to get back to the person he was. Tears fall from his eyes, his heart is opening, the healing begins. He knows he is in the right place, the emotions don’t lie, there was so much he was hiding from, this troubled boy.
Solomon was reflecting on a life that ended too soon, if that is the phrase, a life taken early. Who understands the trauma we hold deep inside, those inner emotions we are afraid to share. Escape, anything to alter the mood, no one is to blame. How often we hear the words; she took her life, he was found hanging from a tree, he or she is dead, get on with it. Why we are afraid to dwell on such stuff; are we afraid to, will we
do the same.
Greta Thunberg said it straight; they have a new remedy every week, but when we reflect upon it, we realize, we heard that last year as well.
Solomon knew the person, life gone, a statistic in a very number conscious world. You did not die in vain, and may your rest be a great surprise, but long after you are gone, the course of your life, still remains, nothing is in vain, amen.
It’s not drama, it’s actually real, it’s not the head, it’s the ability to disguise, the hidden evil menace, the trail of poison ivy, it’s the growth of hatred, it’s the propaganda that fills the mind, the greed that we can’t control, it’s the temptation of the demon, turning people against each other, enjoying the conflict and hurt, the psychopathic remedies of the evil mind, the stuff that makes us apathetic, the blind spot we acquire, it’s why corruption just never slows, we are told to exploit it all, the mantra of the so called successful, and How Greta Thunberg said it clearly, we heard it all before, Solomon sighed…
MOST honest soul I met in last ten years, a two year old boy,
Solomon sighed, the emperors clothes syndrome, they all nod and agree, then a child, unaware of fear, said what everyone was thinking, he then recalled the Ancient scripture, the wisdom of men and the wisdom of God, and how mere children, would put all the intellectuals to shame; well, we are seeing it with our own eyes, amen.
The second you pause, stop, the eyes open wide, the memory is born, you didn’t race past on the way to your next appointment, you stalled, you might not plan it, you had to stop, a second look, how the first impression is real every time. Solomon recalled the army of good souls, out there today, trying to impose their truth rather watching who the audience was, you don’t need to lecture, you just need to live it if you believe it, deeds.
A boy pulls a box on wheels, a wooden box with round bits stolen from a supermarket trolley, the boy wasn’t going anywhere, he was going around in circles, and his two pals were chasing after him. Solomon watched from the comfort of the upmarket saloon, a car another drove. The drop was a quick stop, a five minute call, the neighborhood wasn’t friendly, no jewelers or anything like that, maybe a rehab center, as close as it gets to humanity. How important was that first impression, how important is every act of kindness, they add up.
In the modern world we tend to leave caring to charity workers, by passing the inner soul, as if we are management level, and leave the hands on stuff to others. The inner soul is God’s refuge inside, and it needs to be exercised, it does not live on good intentions, you have to get involved. As time passes, the need for a more emotional world is becoming so obvious; without souls that care, what is left, not a whole lot.
Solomon recalled that little boy and his pals, who appeared around the corner, pulling their imaginary car, with a piece of string that someone discarded. First impression, how they fared after that, the three young friends, who knows, but they made an impression on Solomon and his heart process, amen.
The placebo affect, golly, you begin to feel better when you actually believe it, the Spirit, the initial push, the way opens, in those moments of searching, seeking a reason to believe, the aches, the anxiety you felt a minute before eases, same as the feeling you get when going to a big dinner, you look forward to the good food, forward looking, the point being, you are looking ahead.
Solomon encountered the addict, well, he encountered a few, and he was listening. The conversation was muted, addict was trying to direct the conversation, pointing at weakness’s he perceived that would distract Solomon, a tactic many use, deflecting. Solomon listened, this hurt, he saw how his companion was trying to control the situation, why would he want to do that, hiding from himself?
Feeling good, there is news of a cure, Solomon read the news, A rod was telling all the good news, he got the all clear. A believer, he thanked his faith for keeping him in the zone, he wanted to get well, had not given up. Solomon smiled, as soon as we realise that we are all bit players in a great movie, when we consider this, and apply it to our lives, we will see the value of our existence, no matter what angle we take. Don’t we all seek meaning in life, our purpose….
As said before, if you don’t believe, why are you doing it for!
