Up or Down….

Did it matter, they were watching from the shadows, the coins in their pocket jingle, reminding them, there was more where that came from, eyes that pierce. He held the audience, they listened to his words, there was only one of him, they were plenty, how was he able to do it, they were getting angrier by the day, as he stole their claim on them.

Solomon was watching the old clint movie, the “pale rider”, the community miners, and the big business interest, and the conflict. As they stood together, they were strong, alone you were vulnerable, same as a woman on a late night street unlit, there is a threat. In the world of image, where appearances count for so much, did it really matter, where you came from, so long as you stood together. It was the sign of the believers, they did not make comparisons between each other, they worked on helping each other.

It made the actions of Jesus all the more remarkable, under constant threat, he beleived in the Father, and they were not able to do anything.

Life History

You are the sum of your experiences, and the habits that are passed on, She looks at him, what do you mean. How would he put it, it was complicated; he thought a moment, wanted to get it right, she looks at him, her heart is hurting and she is at a loss, why did she hurt when she loved so much, it wasn’t fair. She heard he had the answers, she waits.

“if you don’t forgive, or are unwilling to forgive, you bring that resentment with you, and when the situation arises again in your life, those feelings re emerge, and the memory begins to repeat itself, if you want to break the cycle, it’s as simple as forgiveness”

Seriously she says, that made sense. He smiles she gets it, he can see the hardness lessen, she is half smiling.

“and even worse he says, those real time demons will remind you, when they feel like it. Don’t give them leverage over your life, it’s why Jesus died on the cross, If his Father can forgive us for what happened that day, the least we can do, if forgive those who offend us!”

Gotcha she smiles. Another lesson learned. It was time for a Guinness.

A few years back, while mowing the lawn all of a sudden the engine of the mower started to sputter. I stopped and after seconds, it died. Great! I stand in the midst of the lawn not even done with half of it and my mower refuses to work. Now, what to do? Trying to start […]

The Woman

She is a refugee, she hasn’t much, she does what she has to do, she has to feed herself. Her heart is big, she has relatives back home, she saves what she can, knowing what circumstances they live in. The money isn’t big, fifty dollars here, twenty dollars there, 100 when the times are good, she does what she has to do, the woman.

It’s a busy Friday night, the men are hungrier than ever, they like the fact she has a color, it’s more of a thrill for them. They empty they pay they go home, she puts her money in her sock, it’s safer there, by the time it gets to her village, it will be enough to feed them all, that woman, what is she doing, the days and nights have been hard.

They judge her those that pass, do you do the risky stuff some ask, how much. A veritable toe rag in the eyes of many, to be used and passed over, forgotten like she has no use, that woman. Many judged too simply, many rush to conclusions, Solomon thought of Jesus, what would he say or do, he’d certainly think less of those that judge her, the way so many do.

Remember Rehab, she found favor with God, for helping defeat the enemy. No one came to judge her afterwards, after knowing her profession before; tut tut, Solomon sighed, a mother feeds her children, while 25 trillion rests off shore, who do you think God will support, that woman of course, amen.

Lilliaoukalani

What a mouthful, she could sing all right, a timely reminder, she was the last Queen of Hawaii, before the islands coalesced with the U.S. She had a great bond with the Big Spirit, the divine spirit, same one Solomon encountered. as the volcano erupts, it’s wise to remind ourselves, we need to Love mother earth, an awful lot more than we do. Solomon sighed, the Spirit in the sky, and God Most High, the one true God, all connected, to Lilliaoukalani, just imagine it. The picture with this blog, clouds, appeared one day, in response to a prayer. So Solomon wondered, was the volcano a reminder of days gone by, and Lilliaoukalani, interesting.

The Small Brunette ….

She wasn’t much to look at, but she had a punch, she was not much to remember, but she had the thoughts inside her, the thoughts that sent you on your way, she was a smart brunette. Solomon sighed, he recalls the happy face, the words of hope, the kindness to others, he met many in his time, but few made an impression on the inside. It was the story of the good wine and the regular stuff, you never forget the good, amen.

As you sit there, older perhaps, tired most days, wondering if you could do more, wishing you had done it different at times, that day, this day, everyday, you got the chance to brighten the day, a thoughtful remark to someone, a simple smile, the small brunette, her’s was a smile worth remembering, amen.

Actors!

Frown lines dispensed with, will last a little longer, computer graphics that can ape reality, too good to be true, it’s not reality but it looks good, over dramatic story lines, did we upset anyone yet, and spin that only experts can provide, did we tame the tiger yet!, actors. Solomon was reading a story, getting to know yourself stuff, and the twisted views of many, and the hatred they just don’t want to forget, actors. Filling the vacuum, over dosing the mind, stuff it will you, till they have no peace of mind, actors. In the old days, you believed in Great Spirit, stuck to the task, and got rewarded. In the modern world, you stuck to the task, and had to be wary of all, as Jesus said, one of them will betray you. Solomon sighed, the more they dug the bigger the hole they created for themselves, and no amount of acting was going to solve that, now that the light had come from above, amen. Did you ever see a storm turn back!
