Every Prayer Counts

Every prayer counts, and some prayers had added value, the exploits of the early believers and the old prophet’s clear evidence of it, cannot be denied. So Solomon was praying for divine help for those tonight and today in the middle of this Spiritual war of souls, call it a pep talk, Solomon needed to remind himself everyday, there was no force stronger than God Most High, and no evil spirit had any power or potency of any sort when confronted with Holy Spirit. Across the world, there were men and women on their knees, who did not give up on Faith, who needed more encouragement than any others, their prayers hit the spot, and their spirits needed that lift. He didn’t need reminding, there were those who believed in no God Most High, there were those who would gladly suck what they could from this world, regardless of consequence or coming generations, and there were those who wanted to exhaust themselves on the pleasures of this life, without concern for anyone, and there was evil spirit, that would go on doing what it tried to do, even in the face of God Most High, despite the signs that told them to mend their ways or else, Solomon was putting the seal on it, ensuring he never forgot or others, he was writing it down, amen.

Dedicated souls every day did their thing, some in very dangerous ways, Solomon was asking God Most High to throw his loving arms around them, they have families too, their children, their wives and husbands, their friends, it was not a time to lose, it was not a time to forget. Without others who laid the path, none of us would have made it this far, Solomon just wanted to remind that’s all, amen.

Man Woman Love God

The old man read the report, the old guard, loyal but out of touch, he read the words again, Luigi, bring me a brandy, make it a double, are you sure Father, the old man nods, who needs to read this stuff, he throws the paper on the table, grabs the brandy, his young assistant smiles, he didn’t think the old man could move so fast, like a spider about to zap a fly. Man and Woman he cried, what have they got to do with love, it was my creation from the beginning, what do they know. He holds out the brandy glass, Waterford crystal of the old days, heavy lead, not that brittle stuff they call crystal these days.

Men of God, the old man sighed, what had women and men to do with it anyway, they are just instruments, all of them, mere instruments, so they live in harmony when they are good to each other, who in the Holy Name doesn’t know that. In another corner of Rome, two other men sit in front of a roaring fire, sipping old wine. There will be no women in the brotherhood Jack, not after that book you wrote. The Young Cardinal smiles, they are two men tied to an ancient past, but who failed to understand, that God was the Love inside them. They plan on seizing control of the world.

It could be worse, say a big pharmaceutical

A New World

Can you imagine it, it begins with your thought, then the start of the imagining, you start today, something new is happening. The Spirit is tired, shopping, what’s new, then you see the faces, so many out buying gifts for another, how often can we say that about ourselves, we are all really giving, we just don’t get enough opportunities to show it.

She is shy, her feelings are in a shroud, wrapped around her, she protects them the way a mother minds her new born, priceless, little does she know, that one day into the future, she will watch baby take off in a car, driven by someone else who wants to love her too. there will be fretting, the stomach will contract, anxiety will persist till baby returns.

Then the Promise of Eternity, the word of Jesus, a time will come, there will be signs for all to see, there will be changes, dramatic too, stuff you heard of, but mostly ignore, it’s been a long time coming. The New world, what will it be, will their be controversy, how will we fare, what will our purpose be, how does your Spiritual guide describe it.

Feeling good, healthy, friends who you can depend upon, no fear of violence, being happy within. It sounds simple to write, but the world we create starts within us, amen.

Spirit Calls…

The voices are calling, the days of old, how those of God called out, how they were delivered, because the Spirit was strong in them, and they respected the word and promise of God. How Goliath laughed at David, a mere weakling, who does he think he is, imagine the snide faces, watching this man, how dare he, even the act of walking onto the battlefield, how they mocked him fool they said to themselves, but the Great God of Heaven had other plans. Same as the widow who gave two bits all those years ago, more than all the rich men, what she did is recalled to this day, the Spirit never forgets.

Solomon sighed, he recalled those whose love he had been given, and how that love had sustained him, he never forgot either. There are those who follow with pride what rich men have to say, it gives the inside knowledge, so they think. Little do they know they are worshiping demons most of the time, money and pride, amen. God seeks kindness tenderness and love, the very currency most of the rich always seem to lack, amen.

No Arguments Today….

They don’t wash their hands before they eat, common sense really, they don’t wash their hands often enough we ought to say, Solomon was taking a journey in Time, way back. The habits we acquire, the niceties we build into our lives, how we behave when the going is good, how we can change when it appears to go wrong. Peace and calm is fine to look at, the sweet words of a counsellor or preacher, so refined and polite, perfect manners, a complete picture, just an image, a still life in a moving ocean.

Solomon read the story of old, the parable Jesus told, the ritual washing, the preparation of food, the prayers before eating, the thanks to God for all that is provided. Jesus was reminding his followers, that going throuhg your routine, was not the answer, but just a way of getting you into the zone, the warm up before the game begins, the stretching exercises if you will. When you pray to God or are aware of the divine influence around you, you need to be ready and able, how can you do the exam if you have not studied, how can you know God until you begin to listen.

Many wanted to fast track into the zone, they don’t like to wait. No arguments please, but there is no fast track to being loving, you are or you are not. There is no fast track to being compassionate, you are or you are not. There are no short cuts. Jesus reminded the followers; you have to get the basics right; and simply this, If you don’t love your fellow men and women how can you love me who made them, no argument please.

She sits up in her bed, starts to read her book, it’s a Holy Book. In the few moments she is in the zone, she forgets her troubles, her pain disolves. She is in the world of the Spirit. Strange as it seems, the first visitor she has, brings her back to her worries, are you all right dear. Solomon sighed, it’s odd how your pains can ease when your Spirit in on the rise, no arguments please, just smile.

Mother and Child

The line is getting close to the check out, she holds her daughter’s hand tight. In a few hours, she will be in another world, a little frightened the way all new visitors feel, when they are somewhere new. Young, too young, she rebelled and ran away from home, that was ten years ago. twenty six now, with a three year old child, she made friends with the first man that seemed okay, she is wiser now, back then she was on the run. She reflects while she stands inline, her life has changed, the small hand in hers, a new responsibility. To be free from the influence, her boy friend so controlling, she hated the life, maybe that’s how a mother feels. She looks at the small human being holding her hand, her life line to the world, yes, that’s me she says to herself. Why has this child taken over my life; she laughed when she heard of friends with children on the way, the way they acted, pretending she imagined; how can one person have such a hold on your life.

The desk assistant smiles when she proffers her pass port. She reaches over the desk, catches sight of the little girl;. going to a new world she says with a smile. The little girl looks at her Mother, hopeful.

Solomon sighed, how many were on the road to freedom across the world. Compassion, love and charity, the very basics required of all those who called themselves believers, amen.

Preacher Girl

A mountain top, the voice, alone, all seeing, the overview, from the preacher girl. Another leader, another controversy, history, what did we learn, the fears that come with change. The Smoking habit is cut, he looks at her, what do you mean by that, well, I am a preacher woman she says. He gets an idea in his head, healing in one hand, the book of wisdom., the cigarette and the ash that falls from the other.

He wonders if it’s for real, he lives a busy life, survival does for most, tomorrow will look after itself. He listens, she is open, her words are sharp, is this the voice of a partner or a tyrant, he tries to catch her attention, she has to go back to the original. No idols to begin with, those we tear down, compassion, if we don’t practice it, we can’t pass it on, as for judging others, we need to look into the mirror. Eventually we will see something we like, a trait, a good decision.

I’m hardcore she says, he listens, she does not allow space for interruption. He is not fault finding, he is listening. There are a few things she doesn’t know about him, he wonders if that helps. You have to do more listening, we all do, preacher girl.

Give it Up

The car needs a service, he prefers to walk, she is worried about her weight, he says exercise will sort it out, she prefers the Gym, the choices. The amount of time we spend on stuff that we will soon forget. He had a dream, there was all the stuff you could possibly want, and the other end of the spectrum, a new car, low wheels, open top, warm weather, he is walking to the shop recalling the dream, spots the sign offering cheap car insurance, then he thought, if he had what the dream said, he wouldn’t be thinking that, rather, the garage, would it be big enough for the collection, or would he need a group policy, they probably do it cheaper for celebrities, the stuff that fills the head, red or blue, another detail he would have to  mull over. The ideas that we fill our heads with. Solomon recalled the parable of old, it’s your heart that matters most, even if you need a top up every so often. Easy to see the conflict though, between the Spirit and the material, the daily existence, amen.
