You Measure Me…

What do you see she asks, her face is covered by a mask, she has only heard his voice. She didn’t want to meet him, the dream might then end, she is afraid of being rejected, and it’s a feeling her heart cannot bear. The mobile phone, the connection, her words will never be rejected. Her fears are based on what she reads and what the media produces. The President is surrounded by blondes, rich men, and powerful friends, what good am I.

Her Father is anxious, her mother distraught, their sixteen year old daughter is anorexic, and close to death, her bones show through her flesh, she resembles a concentration camp survivor, it would be hard to tell them alike. What are we going to do, what are we going to do, we are going to lose our baby her mother cries. …

Solomon listened to the words of ancient scripture, a habit of his. Listen to the words of God, there is life in them, and many warnings.

“Those in authority will be dealt with severely when the time comes!”

Solomon is on the street, minding his business, he hears the angry words of a demon, he stops, thinks for a few seconds, says a prayer. The noisy demon runs for cover. So you are unwell, imagine David as he faced Goliath, no one gave him a chance, except himself and God, the rest is history.

The Substitutes Bench

The players roll up, they are in line, next, the coach says, your on, move left, left you go, the game is in play, it’s the super bowl of divine intention, and there are those who want to disrupt the play, they want to win at any cost, while the good team wants to win on merit.

You are sitting at home, perhaps your old, or young,¬† perhaps you have a disability, perhaps you spend too much time wondering about what you could have been doing, regretting, wishing you had stayed home that fateful night, or wished your mother had taken better care of you, before you were born, whatever, you made it into the world, not by your own free will, but by the law of Birth, Heaven, with eternity the goal at the end of the rainbow. You can’t leave the house for extended times, your medical condition has you like a chain, and you medical insurance is restrictive, does it get tough sometimes….

In the old folks home, can’t move without assistance, and when they come to visit you, its’ as if they have forgotten you, some life, and you prayed all your life too, it’s not fair. God knows all this, he passed out an abundance of talents to satisfy all needs, but as the children became too much in themselves and built little kingdoms, for the benefit of their ego mainly, its nice to impress, don’t ever forget it though, when the medals are finally awarded and the trophy is handed over, the substitutes get the winners medal too.

So put purpose into your heart; while you may have setbacks and feel passed over at times, we all play key roles, and we fit in where the need is greatest. So when your on the bench, you are still part of the team, amen.

Solomon sighed, he was recalling the old story; some of the pharisee’s and his own apostles were asking; why was such a person born with restrictions, what was his or her sin they asked. Jesus knew they were trying to confuse him, Jesus simply replied; well, it’s to show the great power of God. We see a fellow soul in trouble or in need, our hearts are moved, the ball is in play, what are we to do about it…..it’s also why, angels are careful not to rush in; there are those who act up with the intention to deceive, amen.

Believers don’t need to worry …Remember Moses, Abraham…

Easy for you to say, the words that slip from the tongue, are you able to prove it, the first words on most minds, easy for you to say. He is poorly dressed, his shoes leak, his hair is a mess, and there is only the price of a coffee in his pocket, don’t worry he says. Solomon sighed, he saw the Spirit at work, saw the anxious turn to happiness, it was the flip of a switch, come to think about it, so did Moses, but Moses always gave credit to God, he never tried to claim credit himself. Many years later, Jesus repeats the words, all glory to the Father. Those who are jealous of power and envious wondered, how can he do this; their response; he has demons in him they said. Jesus hears their thoughts, understands them better than they could possibly imagine and warns them; Dudes, you can say what you like about me, but if you dare insult the Holy Spirit, you won’t just regret it. Moses returns from the Holy Mountain, got the assurance from the Most High God, is content, this is working out he says to himself, he weeps, his joy immense, to have the approval of the eternal God, mega. Then he he see’s them back to their old ways, worshiping what’s earthly and common, same as those who judge people so quickly; not ambitious enough, you must be unwell; a child decides to serve God, had a career in front of him, what a waste his friends say. Forty years later, they ask their unambitious pal to intercede for them before God; life has a habit of turning around rather quickly. So if you believe, why worry then.

To see the wonders of God, amazing.

The Preacher and the Power..and Bob Dylan…

Wow, they really respect me, there is a lot they will do for me, the town is mid west, there are swathes of people heading west, the pioneers, many led by preacher men, seeking the gold and their dream homes, a reasonable dream their spirits need some drive, the main decides to hire, the man of words who can stir everyone, the trek continues the pilgrims struggle on, the river is in sight, we will rest here says the preacher man, there is baptism on his mind, this religious business comes with its own rewards, see the respect they have, now that is saying some. The human is a deep soul, there are many lives lived hidden in your blood, the stories of generations, same as those intolerance’s we pass on, a matter of habit.

The times were changing, there was great hope in many hearts, and there are those who will gladly deceive, fools and their dreams are easily parted, apart from their money. Solomon was reading from Esdras, the old prophet was listening to the angel, who was advising him of the world to come, Esdras had many questions, the angel is patient, and gives him the signs. 2,800 years later, the recall of Esdras had much in common with current times. May our Spiritual guides be attempting unity in all that is good sighed Solomon, rather than building¬† business’s for themselves. Amen..

At least share a little more, earn a few brownie points..maybe

Troubled Boy

The Journey, the steps, the influences, the souls we encounter, the time we give to others, the success we can put down, it’s not going anywhere, like a book you can pick it up again, later. He sits in rehab, trying to get back to the person he was. Tears fall from his eyes, his heart is opening, the healing begins. He knows he is in the right place, the emotions don’t lie, there was so much he was hiding from, this troubled boy.

Solomon was reflecting on a life that ended too soon, if that is the phrase, a life taken early. Who understands the trauma we hold deep inside, those inner emotions we are afraid to share. Escape, anything to alter the mood, no one is to blame. How often we hear the words; she took her life, he was found hanging from a tree, he or she is dead, get on with it. Why we are afraid to dwell on such stuff; are we afraid to,  will we

do the same.

Greta Thunberg said it straight; they have a new remedy every week, but when we reflect upon it, we realize, we heard that last year as well.

Solomon knew the person, life gone, a statistic in a very number conscious world. You did not die in vain, and may your rest be a great surprise, but long after you are gone, the course of your life, still remains, nothing is in vain, amen.

Water

it’s the same as the air, it tastes the same to all, and without it, we can’t survive. Solomon was building the pillars of solidarity between all the main religions and the outsiders who had enough of it all, and had lost patience, water sighed Solomon, is that not a cause that involves us all. Imagine, the Great God of heaven who lifted Solomon from the iron threads that once trapped his body, was the same God they all worshiped, or so they claimed. Imagine it, back in the old days, along comes the spider, well, the news that makes all other news irrelevant; put away what separate’s you, focus on what you have in common. You want your children to grow up with a healthy frame of mind, you don’t want them adopting your petty bias’s, leave your frustrations to yourself, there is no point in infecting others, extremists do that, surely you don’t want to be considered that, an extremist. Water, we can’t exist without it, neither can we live in a healthy world, that does not give credit to the Holy Architect.

The news was great; the Spirit was flowing, and many were gaining a new understanding of their lives, and what their roles were. Life is a movie, we all play our part.

Get Healed

The placebo affect, golly, you begin to feel better when you actually believe it, the Spirit, the initial push, the way opens, in those moments of searching, seeking a reason to believe, the aches, the anxiety you felt a minute before eases, same as the feeling you get when going to a big dinner, you look forward to the good food, forward looking, the point being, you are looking ahead.

Solomon encountered the addict, well, he encountered a few, and he was listening. The conversation was muted, addict was trying to direct the conversation, pointing at weakness’s he perceived that would distract Solomon, a tactic many use, deflecting. Solomon listened, this hurt, he saw how his companion was trying to control the situation, why would he want to do that, hiding from himself?

Feeling good, there is news of a cure, Solomon read the news, A rod was telling all the good news, he got the all clear. A believer, he thanked his faith for keeping him in the zone, he wanted to get well, had not given up. Solomon smiled, as soon as we realise that we are all bit players in a great movie, when we consider this, and apply it to our lives, we will see the value of our existence, no matter what angle we take. Don’t we all seek meaning in life, our purpose….

As said before, if you don’t believe, why are you doing it for!
