Excellence Reporter: Rinpoche, what is the meaning of life? Or the purpose of life if you will? Khensur Rinpoche: Most all of us fall into the trap of believing, at one point or another, that amassing wealth, fame, power, friendships, and even happiness itself is the purpose of life. Of course, these things can, and […]
Treat us well, nothing gracious, just be gentle, don’t look down on me, so I am a refugee, tired and tortured, have you any idea, what a welcome means, a wide eyed smile, not the stare of suspicion, had enough of those, in my shoes you have a different view, pushed about, moved on, unwanted, voiceless, those who speak up for us, ready, the cameras, the sixty seconds of hope, someone might care about us, those protests, don’t know where to turn, just want to put the head down, can’t return, what is there left, we put faith in it, trusted above, go and find, maybe that is the welcome, the real presence of God, not the words, maybe we are walking faith, ever think of that, hardly, you remind me of my family, all you do is count the cost, isn’t everyone doing it, ignoring the blessings, what a possibility, what economist can value that, Solomon sighed, he understood the plight of the refugee, there had been many exodus’s over time, he thought of the actions of certain leaders, how their actions lifted, did the impossible, and those not so good at leading, but using the word of God, he wondered at their fate, in a time of change, the outcomes weren’t too hard to figure out, if you know what I Mean? History and the exodus were we being tested.
So many parallels, as if history had been compressed in a few lives, the movements,
How many lawyers do you need to carry out one investigation; Well, you need a lawyer to agree what they are going to get paid, another to ensure they get paid, another lawyer in case there is a dispute about fees, another lawyer to oversee that the lawyers are actually acting legally, and lots of coffee machines, so all the lawyers have enough caffeine in them, to keep them awake, Oh, I forgot, you need a lawyer to proof read everything, and a lawyer to set a timetable for the completion of the investigation. Yes, it requires a lot of lawyers to conduct a reasonable investigation, as for the investigation itself, well, lets hope there will be a second investigation in order to prove that the first investigation was conducted correctly, we don’t want to have any doubts, do we.
Solomon sighed, Jesus said it simple all those years ago; The Kingdom of God is inside you, it’s a question of creating the space, no lawyers required to explain that.
The second you pause, stop, the eyes open wide, the memory is born, you didn’t race past on the way to your next appointment, you stalled, you might not plan it, you had to stop, a second look, how the first impression is real every time. Solomon recalled the army of good souls, out there today, trying to impose their truth rather watching who the audience was, you don’t need to lecture, you just need to live it if you believe it, deeds.
A boy pulls a box on wheels, a wooden box with round bits stolen from a supermarket trolley, the boy wasn’t going anywhere, he was going around in circles, and his two pals were chasing after him. Solomon watched from the comfort of the upmarket saloon, a car another drove. The drop was a quick stop, a five minute call, the neighborhood wasn’t friendly, no jewelers or anything like that, maybe a rehab center, as close as it gets to humanity. How important was that first impression, how important is every act of kindness, they add up.
In the modern world we tend to leave caring to charity workers, by passing the inner soul, as if we are management level, and leave the hands on stuff to others. The inner soul is God’s refuge inside, and it needs to be exercised, it does not live on good intentions, you have to get involved. As time passes, the need for a more emotional world is becoming so obvious; without souls that care, what is left, not a whole lot.
Solomon recalled that little boy and his pals, who appeared around the corner, pulling their imaginary car, with a piece of string that someone discarded. First impression, how they fared after that, the three young friends, who knows, but they made an impression on Solomon and his heart process, amen.
Darn, the buzzer goes, the alarm clock buzzes, who could be at the door, she clambers out of bed, bumps into the chair, what time is it, she wipes her eyes, clearing, the buzzer goes again, I’m coming she shouts, she knows the voice; frantic words are muttered outside, you have a ten o’clock and you are behind, she fumbles with the lock. The door opens, she retreats to the kitchen, the kettle is set to work, her assistant is done up to the nines, darn, she looks better than me. She opens the press, where are the pain killers, she has a brain rush, you need to order more of these, she holds up the noisy container, two or three loose tablets left. Then she thinks to herself, the sleepers, they are getting low too
, and there could be an emergency, she dismisses the thought, the time she dropped the container on the bathroom floor, and how sticky they were when she tried to pick them up. What about the anxiety stuff she thinks. Her assistant says nothing for a few minutes, she has been through it before, addict central.
Lightning, the sky lights up, from nowhere, a bolt of light descends from the Sky, air traffic control that was close, missed by inches, a loud crack, the terror and screams nearby, it could have hit us. Solomon listened to the news, he was burning the green at the time, then heard the news, could it be real, the earth was on fire,
fire it seems. If a healthy environment is our get out of jail card, then everyone on the planet was getting a reminder, and as in olden times, when God chose to use a burning bush to communicate with his Prophet, many thousands of years later, the same was happening again. There were those bent on the destruction of the living environment for real short term gain, as if we hadn’t enough palm oil already.
Yes, the various environments needed support; the creator could only do so much, our free will does the rest, choices. A student of the ancient texts and striving to get a clearer impression of what it all means, Solomon thought the timing of the burning bush was apt, given that some world Leaders were meeting together, and talk was of the burning bush, not that it was meant to appear on the agenda, but when fire rages, who can afford to ignore it. Imagine, they meet up, discuss, never once wondering, if the fate of the burning bush, was a clear message to them, well, leaders lead, they don’t build castles in the sky.
Thirty thousand feet, the engine wobbles, everyone on the jet trembles, former certainty wanes, could this happen to us as well, yes it could sighed Solomon. Stories such as Moses and the burning bush, are there to remind us, of the many ways God communicates with us; this is a living planet and it does not belong to you, amen.
Solomon sighed, the dream, the frenzy, the fear, the blood hatred in the eyes of those seeking justice, the lengths they were willing to go, they wanted their victim, they sought blood. Was this a re telling of the Great Play, by William, The Merchant of Venice, how our desire for so called justice blinds the light inside us. It was dream time, and he was sharing the worries of another, a young relation of a war victim, as everyone who partakes in war are victims, the winners and the losers, what are they left with; the fields of Vietnam, the concentration camps of world war two, so many victims. Solomon reflected on how the values of an older generation were side lined, as a more modern minded, justice now mind set, took over the leadership of many flocks, and how they used past hatreds to corral the flock into action. None of them held memorials for the millions of children, abused indirectly over the internet, having to digest what few of us could escape unharmed from. How many lives had ended, when the posse was in pursuit, Jesus among them, the thirst for justice becoming a drug as the mob got larger and larger. Revelation sighed Solomon, they might not listen to the words of the Prophets, but they did react to revelation, knowing their day for their judgement could arrive any given day.
Solomon smiled, he caught the dream, listened, saw the spotlight shine on the so called refugee, villain, the light shone for a minute, perhaps less, the mob now has a thirst, the chase over this time, they headed off in search of another. Father, Teach them he prayed. They try to raise the fears in others to justify themselves; and the harm they cause grows like a virus. Solomon say the signs, saw the Spirit, what a sight, and every day since, he was writing rescue remedies, with a lot of success.
She runs in the door, has a mind filled with anger, she is going to upset the first person she meets, she is as primed as an atom bomb, wants to destroy and do nothing else, a habit she formed, a bit of self a bit of life, needle them they said, what is that.
The image, the pin prick, the drop of blood, the mixture heated over the spoon, the wired vein, the plunge, and that sinking feeling. A long way from the lawyers office, where Mr Big and his educated lawyer conduct their affairs. Expensive brands cut leather shoes, bleached teeth too, a far cry from the uneducated addict, sitting in slum land, taking what he or she can get, used as a toe rag, out of sight of family, they have already forgot.
Needles, the stone in the shoe, the little annoying journalist who wont give up the story, the ache in your heart, the feeling that wont go away. She needles everyone.
Solomon smiled, there was a lot of joy about, the eyes told their own story, many held smiles, a few wore frowns. the needle he surmised, help from above. To imagine that your life really counts, and you are not a statistic after all, despite what you have been forced to believe, in order to stay alive.
How the miracles of olden times, needled the Spiritual leaders of those times. He is stealing our flock, they listen to him, we have to do something about it. 2,000 years later, they are still listening, amen. You have to needle them sighed Solomon, same way you prod at times, amen.
Tension, the coach was writing the word on the blackboard, underlined it, three times, Tension he said again, the class all look up, the teacher is explaining the depths of story, and trying to sound like an expert. Who does get it, tension, the ups and downs, the circle of life. The want to be authors want to change their lives, their teachers wants to publish one best seller, tension, the rent check is due and there isn’t enough in the bank to cover it, tension, a half a per cent movement in the share price will cost us another fifty million, if only I could reach that far she says to herself, sitting in her assist chair, her arms not working from the shoulders down, to be able to reach an itch, tension, waiting for someone to come in the door, waiting for the surgery door to open, waiting for the man to return the form without more corrections, tension.
Tension, Solomon wondered what it would feel like to have some of your functions returned to you, by Gift of God, would there be tension in the body
, what would the stages be like, would it be the caterpillar unwinding, the egg shell breaking up, the head peering out, what would it feel like, would it be instant, instant, would your muscles need time to lengthen, you’d be stiff, the strength in your shoulders would need building up. He had in his mind some prayers being said, and many millions calling out, come help us Dear Father, and then imagining the response, what load fills the net, who benefits. So many take credit for stuff they have nothing to do with, and then try to persuade others to follow them. Solomon sighed, One God, the credit starts and ends there, no intermediaries, only those with good opinion who are heard. In a nutshell, those who go before us, lay the paving stones, lets hope they are well directed in the times ahead. The tension will always be there, exercise if your worried, amen.
Parents, grand parents, the local co-op, school, teachers and preachers, the need to be a young saver, having the back up, the bit you can fall back on. Young savers, Solomon was reminded, the school year closes, the summer begins. The plans that have been saved up, the dreams for the two free months ahead, a holiday, a memory, something to fall back on come the fall, we did that and this, and we went to see this and that, the young saving their memories. The paint on the walls wont hold the building up, it will look smarted when your close up, don’t get carried away, it’s only a paint job, but a good memory, that is something to hold.
The Child leaves school, the holidays, the home life is not the greatest, his father deserted them, he was too young to understand it then, but as he gets older, he knows that he is missing something. Many call out to Fathers, don’t deny your children, save a little for them, put aside your career, park the ego, stop pretending to be important among your colleagues, go home and mind your children, be a saver, amen.
Solomon reflected on the enormous number of interventions, enormous, the record number of changes, the numbers, the weather, the old revelations come through, news of divine intervention, while the same method continued in the old church, he sighed, you exist to raise the Spirit, you are there to help them save themselves, reminding them, that you are a servant after all too
, and not the boss.
What had all the young savers in their heads, what had gone into those heads. The picture from the sky is real, the visit of the Holy Spirit, and more, news of an everlasting life, worth saving for.
