The Healing Spirit

He is in the bed, there are days, and this a heavy one, his mind is trouble, apart from the pain, there are memories. Lying on the bed, all the time in the world to think, the only noise, the coughs and roars of others in the wards, the rush of feet on the corridor, old age he sighed, wishing he could get to his feet. He has a rush of thoughts, it’s as if all that is wrong, his mistakes have come to overtake him, crush him inside. Fight he says, trying to push the images away; it’s a collage of all the harm he has encountered, why did I not do more. Please God, release me from this nightmare, please, he pleads, how I wasted my life, why did I gather all those things; the previous week he was worried about the insurance cover on his classic car collection; at this moment he doesn’t care if they all suddenly rust, what does it matter when you can’t take it with you. That was before the stroke. Alone in a private room, who needs time to think when what they have to think of is only about themselves.

Solomon had lunch with a good friend, a co believer; they were exchanging Godly wisdom, the conversation was alive, there was energy, the conversation they have; the lives that had touched them in many happy ways. How the heart fills with light, when you look outside yourself, how the body has time to heal, when you don’t have to stress yourself out. Rest sighed Solomon to his friend, a very thoughtful soul, who spent most of their days, encouraging the words of eternal life, rest is essential; as he pointed out to his friend, gesturing with h

is hands to his fellow diners; no one here got here on their own, no one ever does, amen.

Be Mindful

How is listening to you, perhaps your grand parents are watching you now, wondering if you have learned anything, hoping you don’t repeat their mistakes. Imagine it, those that you thought were gone,. watching you in silence, their Spirits wondering, perhaps hoping you turn to good ways, and actually help them, as the old prophets said, praying for the dead is worth doing. As God is the God of the living, it’s wisdom to remind yourself who is watching you. No need to blush, everything has been seen, even when you pick your nose, it’s clear cut. We all use the bathroom!.

Solomon was reading about the education on intimate relationships, and how those teaching it, had reduced it to a biological test, so the young students say, with no input as to the emotional issues, and what they, how, how you react etc. With society focused on getting everyone into the bed; well, it’s everywhere you look, it’s no surprise those who are young, find it confusing, how their hormones are dealt with. Jesus focused on compassion, he didn’t want to hear about your bed room details, our imaginations do that for us. So there are some who are outraged by the behavior of certain folks, but that’s ignoring the real issue; how come we create a society that is so focused on the lower regions, it’s not that the need to get together is ever going to disappear, unless of course, we turn ourselves into machines, that perform according to a script, well?

Jesus encouraged help and healing, not revenge and getting even.

Edit Your Head

What do you mean, well, they say behind your back what they are afraid to say to your face, Solomon was reminding himself of the power of Jesus’s and I mean power, his words came with authority, they were not a wish, or stuff you want to happen, they came with the power of His God, the Creator of the universe. Jesus wanted harmony, well being, respect, forgiveness, charity and compassion, well, how else could you enjoy the Father, and the great gift you have been given.

When Pharisee’s annoyed him or were talking about him behind his back, he just reminded them. Say what you like about me, Insult the Holy Spirit, well, that’s the line you can not cross, ever. With it being Christmas, the season for all that is good, well, it’s celebrated for many reasons, but for believers, enhancing the reputation of the Father, is tops. Being a Child of the divine, you have to make the effort, you are called to eternal life after all.

With the blurb flying everywhere, buy this, that, be kind, and the other stuff, what are you going to give me, there was a lot in the heads, along with the mad news from the political world, who could imagine what was going on. So Donald has brought all the dirty laundry to dry cleaners, and there is so much of it, it would remind you of the oceans full of plastic, it’s everywhere. Time to edit the head, without a clean environment, there is no life.

Christmas Party

Dress for affect, it’s not everyday the boss gets drunk, the ideas that go around the heads when booze celebration and Christmas merge, and the ideas are a long way from the memory, of Jesus. Ungainly at times, the number of affairs that start during the holiday party, the marriages that fall to the floor, the opportunity to make amends with an employee you want to thank personally, the Christmas party is one of those events.

Solomon sighed, the giving part of the season was on the radio, the call for help, the multiple organisations doing their job, canvassing for help, using the giving season to ramp up the coffers, Solomon sighed, there has to be an easier way. There is an awful lot of dread in the world at any given time, too much for most minds, but they exist, you wonder why, ask the polar bear on his last lump if ice, when will he jump and go where, well, sounds like the immigration trail.

Meanwhile at the office party, they gather, the doctor offers the usual warnings, flying hormones, hard work, the need to let the rocks flow, the normality of it all, when you close up inside., the fear of those easily passed on diseases, it’s quite a list.

There is an easier way He sighed; raise the Spirit of Well being, remind oneself of the great interventions, the rapid changes in so short a space of time, even the four seasons in one day, enough to remind yourself, there is a Heaven above. Solomon wondered why there wasn’t more of an effort to celebrate the Greatest Party of all, in the way the three wise men intended, amen.

Boris, Donald, and a whole lot more…

Forgive me, so many reasons present themselves, in the news, the papers, the different groups, all chasing some sort of closure, then the next day, a new set of groups, new news, new stories, appear, seeking closure, a raft full of lawyers in tow, measuring the words, hoping to use them in their attack on some wretched soul, and counting the cash, depending on the size of the boo-boo.

Man meets woman, they get together, decide to live together, build a home, have children, as if it’s a given formula. The world begins to move, the love becomes a little toxic, the bond changes, the couple no longer feel as one, the split, the sharing of assets, a new beginning.  Is love that simple, you get to the super market and choose another, hardly, when the Love is divine. God is called patient on account of His patience, perhaps to help us be patient too.

Forgiveness, many with their reputations on the pages of tabloids, hungry journalists chasing the gold, offering money for even worse details. Do we really need someone explaining what happens when we go to the toilet, cause that is what it feels like, some one chasing our shit in order to sell it on to someone else, there is no other way to say it. Cough with your excuses, but it’s not chasing the facts, we pay others to sell human dirt, that is supposedly entertainment.

Queen Elizabeth, in the public picture all her life, so her children stray, the latest scandal, another chance to incite the taste buds; well, why else write such stuff. Hear the argument, we want to protect children; what do internet statistics explain, a strange way of explaining their safety, amen.

Solomon sighed; the signs were appearing, there is divine influence, there is God, and two thousand years after the first advent, the signs speak of the Great Return. In the circumstance, you’d think forgiveness was the new fashion trend that was never going to end, amen.

Excellence Reporter: Rinpoche, what is the meaning of life? Or the purpose of life if you will? Khensur Rinpoche: Most all of us fall into the trap of believing, at one point or another, that amassing wealth, fame, power, friendships, and even happiness itself is the purpose of life. Of course, these things can, and […]

Who Listens?

He raises his voice, the teacher, everyone listens, he is serious now. There is a quake inside, can’t afford to close the mind, the words pour out, there is not a sound in the room, there is full attention, he is the respected teacher. Tone of voice, respect, an interest in learning, a future, it’s important how the words come out.

The baby is in the chair, the mother is trying to feed baby, come now, the baby gurgles and laughs, is playing, mother is not impressed, she has the laundry to do, and there are a HUNDRED other jobs to be done, baby of course does not understand, living is playtime, everything baby see’s is amazing. Come now she says, while the spoon of mulch approaches baby mouth.

The Preacher is at the altar, making a speech, wants the attendance to really listen, he has his pride too, the numbers in the congregation are falling, what was a full house is now a dribble, but the preacher continues to work hard, he wants to do some impro, off the cuff, but he is not allowed to stray from the guidelines, words from the Bishop, who smiles, how did we get this far he says, as if casting an eye to a time, two thousand years ago, when there were large crowds following Jesus.

Who listens, the ears are clogged, the eyes have been blinded, we hear the voice instead we see an image, we hear the words, yet we judge the speaker, even when we agree. Solomon wondered about the impact we have in life, and how aware we are, of that influence. On stage, a school, a mosque, a church, online, how do we listen, how we use email, do we intend to upset. How do we listen; feedback usually helps, amen.
