Head

All that grey matter, what is inside it, how do you store it, what does it entail, does it encourage you to be a good Samaritan, help you think of others, does it fill you with fear, there is a bang outside, we assume the worst, we see a head scarf, the face covered up, we feel strange, what is hidden frightens us. Jesus spoke the words of Life, light that fills you inside, not the dread, the dread we worry about. Imagine it, it was said all those years ago, still holds true, and there are changes in the atmosphere, as if our worries are being lifted from us, as we realize, there is a God Most High, and demons are afraid of the Spiritual power that springs from HIM. Now the bullies are in shock instead.

Little wonder sighed Solomon, when our heads are filled with all sorts of wants, we forget the One want that overcomes all our worries, amen.

Is it possible….

Dante writes, he saw turmoil in the fourteenth century, when men of the organised religion lived like prince’s, sided with wealth, and often condemned innocent men and women, to all sorts of horrible existences, sometimes death, under the cover of the cloak of God they wore, which they used as a tool to control fortunes and  lives, when they were supposed to promote peace and goodwill. Not all, but those who sought position, in other words, those of the Ego.

He wrote of Venice under a flood, and today I am reading the words Dante wrote, his epic poem, translated of course, and Venice this day is under the most serious of flooding ever.  Oddly enough, this flooding, is reminding us of our neglect of the living environment, same as the signs that are appearing, reminding us of our divine inheritance, amen.

Solomon  sighed, we are being directed towards the Father of all creation, and while that Spirit flows it’s time ourselves, we too, are in the vineyard, and as in Venice, a major clean up is required, amen.

Days of Gratitude

How many of us have life changing experiences, Solomon listens, the preacher speaks, he retells the story of the ten lepers, healed, and how one in ten returned to give thanks, to God, so Jesus tells. Solomon listened, gratitude meant a lot to him, the day more poignant than most, his own recall a little blurred, his memory of events poor, but the results, never doubted. It was the anniversary of the perfect intervention in his own life.

To encounter the perfect intervention, where all that is seems lost, and all from then on is new, is rare indeed. The tingle in the feet, your still connected, the feet will move again, the lower body functions, how you got there, you have a faint recall, this must be the feeling you get, when you are born, how did I get there, and since so many do it the same way, you think nothing of it, it just happens.

So much we regard as a right, so the mob tells us, this is what your entitled to, and if you don’t get it, you ought to sue some one, there are lawyers on every corner, complain. So, there is the gardener, the flowers are sad, they have lost their luster, they don’t grow so strong, who does he complain to, probably himself, I didn’t use the right fertilizer. Then recall the mindset of the One who set the style of the flowers, the colors, their size, the smell; he does not get the same scent, the senses are not moved, the garden is plainly not that healthy, who does HE complain to.

Gratitude, how we respect the gifts we are given, and how we pass it on, it’s that simple, amen.

Music Words Rhythm….R..

Lasting impressions, the music that sticks, it is more than memory, it’s emotions. The song is from a time past, you might have heard it as a child, it could have been the first time you felt a Spiritual presence, it is lots of things. Funny how the big ego stuff never makes the cut, too much of the artist too little of the talent, distractions. Solomon sighed, there are moments in your life, the first time you escaped out the back window, climbed down the roof, hopped onto the ground and hurried off to the gig, with friends of course, never with those unknown. Young, the rules don’t matter that much, same as your hormones, you hear the music, inside you start to blaze as the rhythm runs through, your naive ideal and young, haven’d suffered the fears of the elders; well they are more experienced, its’ not your fault or theirs, and nearly all the time you get home safe. There is no darkness, the world is yours, its a choice.

Then you age, the experiences build up, the cover up begins, there are problems at home, stuff you want to hide, it could be an addictive parent, it could be anything.

Solomon sighed, It’s wonderful to think that God is the same to all, amen, the eternal friend never deserts you, unlike those who want from you. Solomon was reliving a night many years before, not old enough to vote either, but the memory lived on, in a corner of his mind. Music with real Spirit has great power, I hope you have a good listen, amen.

Meek Jesus..

Who made that up, believers, they didn’t wait for it to happen, they got involved. As for disparaging our vices, meek, He scattered the business’s trying to profit from religion, meek, what planet are they on, they should have gone to an optician. Humble, quite, passive, sit at home, pray all the time, that was not Jesus, that is what is presented as piety, possibly to keep the roman controllers happy: a rebel is fine so long as he says naught. Meek Jesus, does not exist except in some old heads, it was all about deeds. Faith was worthless without it, deeds.

Solomon sat in the modern temple, and listened. he thought about the towns in olden times that didn’t benefit from his Spirit, because they lacked faith, the power within. As for the kingdom, it’s not some far off place, it’s already inside you, amen. Being non violent does not make you meek.

Leonard Cohen, We miss your songs

As reliable as the autumn rains, he maintained his skills to the very end, poured out wisdom the only way he could, used words to stir us to action, and was soul filled, inspired so much thought, opened many closed hearts.

It is October, the season of winter approaches as we prepare for it, the clothes have changed, we wrap up tighter, there is stuff we have to do, how nature teaches us, we mind Mother Nature she keeps everything in order, we have to remind ourselves, while there are 24 hours in a day, and so many days in a year, in truth, from the moment you woke this morning, did you sleep well, whatever, in this 24/7 world so many chatter about, the strong able to take advantage of the weary and the naive, after all the future plans and schemes, is there anything but a day, in every life. Slow down, the bear needs to hibernate, the butterfly is getting ready in the husk, in a few months time it will make it’s debut, all this preparation for the changing days ahead, is it not time we listened to nature, without worrying, it’s only a day after all. Thanks Leonard, for all the evenings to filled my mind with calm, amen.

Another Investigation

How many lawyers do you need to carry out one investigation; Well, you need a lawyer to agree what they are going to get paid, another to ensure they get paid, another lawyer in case there is a dispute about fees, another lawyer to oversee that the lawyers are actually acting legally, and lots of coffee machines, so all the lawyers have enough caffeine in them, to keep them awake, Oh, I forgot, you need a lawyer to proof read everything, and a lawyer to set a timetable for the completion of the investigation. Yes, it requires a lot of lawyers to conduct a reasonable investigation, as for the investigation itself, well, lets hope there will be a second investigation in order to prove that the first investigation was conducted correctly, we don’t want to have any doubts, do we.

Solomon sighed, Jesus said it simple all those years ago; The Kingdom of God is inside you, it’s a question of creating the space, no lawyers required to explain that.
