Sea Rescue

Hold on, don’t loose your faith, help will come. How those who struggle to survive hold it together, the stress each day, the hours of labor that bear so little fruit. From afar we read these stories, some of us wonder, some of us pray, some do something extra, the needs of others push us to extra lengths that we would not ever dare to tread. Struggles, the mother sighs, she is brow beaten, her little daughter looks on, knows her mother struggles, vows to do all she can do assist as she gets older, doing housework is all she can muster now, it’s her Mother after all. She watches while those without care pass by all day, the dress, the confident eyes, how they look down on her, it’s all stored inside. We need inspiration to hold on.

The news that two young women survived a trauma that was dangerous to say the least was uplifting for many who heard the news, and it was of course fishermen who came to the rescue at the death. Solomon sighed, there are those who are under the stress of the virus, and the warnings, while those who have had the means, just read about it. Nothing knew here, the gap between the least and the most is a ravine few will ever fill in, and those with that we call real power, will read reports from experts, and act on them, those who have a bit of a conscience will, hopefully more will recognize the signs. In this time of great trauma, there is the Spirit of God, it’s pouring out across the world, hang on, put your faith in the fisherman.

Solomon encountered the Spirit that brings great gifts, heaven sent, but as with all gifts, it requires a little sharing. when you have real proof of divine intervention, there is no human force that can ever overcome it, read the pro

phets, amen.

The year 2020, the world needs rest, the populations on the move, internally if not physically, where to turn, can I, the questions, the world turned upside down, the news dramatic, the reactions chaotic, the mind full of the dread, what is happening, is this all in my head, turmoil. A mini version of a strange new world, it was going in one direction, then all of a sudden, change, how has it happened, what are we going to do now. Young artists, new ideas, the ideals they shared, the chance to put it in words, the cynics of the past, this will never change, those getting their wish, could we have done it any better.

Solomon wondered, the world stops, the ease of movement halts, a scene from a war movie, the unassailable march of the JUGGERNAUT, the sighs in the hearts of the oppressed, what does it mean, is there a message in all of this. Solomon read the story of old, how they harped on, about the unseen power, and the threat that existed, when we took it to be ourselves, our existence. The child sighs, the mother holds the hand tighter, she is nervous, they can’t escape to the country, it’s closing down. The knock on the door, the rattle of guns, the panic inside, everyone tries to hide and run, is this the end, the sighs, the nods, open up, the scream, the door comes in, boots on the stairs, it sounds like a Spielberg movie, only it’s real.

Solomon was applying the thought of the dramatic to the current chaos. In olden times, old stories, we get reminders, the ways of the oppressors, and what it usually means, are these those times, and what about the end, the light, there is always light. The Hope arrives, every civilization has the same story, the voice, the giant, the helper, who teaches the new generation, how to sustain life, the qualities needed, compassion, being aware, doing what is life giving, without trying to take over the world. In the papers he read the story of the Nuclear Space, the effort to control the world where the satellites roamed, the great new war field of the future, the destruction of our means of global communication, does this sound like today, are we being warned, the new direction, an easy way to teach us perhaps, this way of life can’t sustain itself, we better try another, just an idea…Solomon smiled, He always sends the Helper, hang on.

Who Do You Recall…..

What dents the heart, who is that wakes you up, what is it that reminds, Solomon was reflecting; the fast life, goes by in a whir, like speeding down the motor way, it’s a blur, you see nothing but think your going places, all you have in mind, the journeys end, not the wave of experiences, it’s so easy to forget life, or what you are supposed to be. He read the story of the carbon footprint, the legacy of your life in pollution terms, what a concept, how about turning the argument around, the impact you made in other lives, much more soothing, and thought provoking, the report that gets you a pass where it counts, not a long list of the negatives.

She is a busy modern woman, has success on a plate, lets the children out, to be reared by others, same as many stuffed to the gills with success on their mind. Years later, she has a distant relationship with them, and wonders why. Solomon was in the temple, had thoughts of old friends on his mind. It wasn’t bad, there were great moments, he had a few he held tight to, and then he thought of the little pal, the child who saved the world, well, the boy assisted him, and humbled him with raw honesty, made more of an impact than most, had a working heart. Then he recalled the cynics, the leave it to others brigade, he could hardly remember anything about them, seriously. So there he was praying for them all, he hoped the cold hearted woke up, before it was too late. Those who love won all the awards in his book.

After The Virus

New friendships made, stubborn chat between arch enemies, no escaping the facts, the virus was more than biological change, the social network was changing, how we had the chance to look at ourselves anew, perhaps ask questions for the first time ever, questioning what went on unnoticed, Mary sits at her table, doing the math of the era. In the writer’s manual they said that all the great writers made themselves known, in times of crisis, study the literature, what came out of depression, the artists who didn’t suffer a personal agony of some type, out of difficulty we often find ourselves again? All this change has to be incorporated into her book, all relationships appear to alter as, she pauses, he is moving around again upstairs, she no longer sneers, hoping to hear him fall.

Relationships change, she is getting selfish, it’s about time, and I’m not getting younger she reminds herself, even if she looks and feels ten years younger since the virus precautions came into existence, everyone looks better, hard to believe it, to be young is a matter of less stress, she recalls passing the new head shop, she used to have names for the place, now she wonders if she will try the new form of marijuana once this thing is over; Hollywood names seem to approve it, and she really trusts some of the names.

What do I miss without being too personal she thinks? She dallies with her talisman, a real led pencil, she can’t imagine a writer’s desk without one, a thin red pencil with a rubber on one end, correcting the script at least. Is it the lack of shopping, is it the lack of fear of having visitors, the need to be more focussed on self cleaning rather than the furnishings, she smiles, bathing in the full bath is way beyond the shower and the new go thing, no fun in that sort of scrub when in the shower, baths for the future , no other way, her skin is softer too, and the odours are all sweet, as if a small change in the washing habit is the same as the slow un buckling of a fragrant rose, cleaner the air, clearer the fragrance, same could be said about the other, she looks forlornly at the ceiling, Excited by dirt, she has many ways of saying it, but the virus is bringing out the imagination. Was it the worry, she doesn’t want to think that, she forgave him during her walk, not that she’d allow him near her, the six foot rule, that she can handle, does it apply to indoors, it should she says, talking to the pencil in her hand, she, it has to be a female pen, it’s not chewed up, nice and thin, and it works for real when it has to, it must be a female pencil.

Living in Darkness

Looking in, Looking out, the shadows within, the light elsewhere, Solomon sighed, why was it important to look out, rather than focus on the within, it was very simple indeed. Those that create fear, want you to concentrate on how vulnerable you are, the threat against you, the fear of loosing, the kind of Spirit that is negative, soul destroying. Jesus reminds us all, forgive, get rid of that dark core inside you, it will destroy you from within. The demon tempted Jesus in every way, you can be the richest man in the world, you can have all that you ever dreamed of, you can control the world, only one thing, you have to worship evil. It may sound like mere words, but when you reflect on them, consider the number of tyrants in power, the number of needless wars, massive levels on corruption in some countries, you can see clearly, how some destroyed their chances for eternal living, for short term gain.

Solomon was reflecting on the actions of some he knew very well, and how there is a core of humanity that has no real belief, preferring the material world to anything else. He hoped they saw the signs that were arriving like the milk man, daily, to remind them, that the path they were on, was a loosing one, amen.

Young Again

The dreams of a child, the fears so few, the welfare of your family, the normal priority, Solomon was remarking on the dramatic changes taking place in the world, how a simple virus had upstaged everyone, grinding to a halt the relentless machine, that spoke progress and destruction in the same breath, as each emerging tyrant tried to grab the pole position of envy and greed, a race to nowhere, that left scars everywhere you looked.

No competition, the only anxiety, who won the football match, are your friends calling around, will I have some one to play with, as for sexual predators, they were never mentioned and few existed, unless created in the press. Solomon was thinking young again, how basic the needs how rich the care, and how that way of living was infiltrated, in the name of progress, we haven’t got that here, can I have one of those. What happened to the peace of mind so many children used to enjoy. It was unheard of, years ago, for all these mental issues to be apparent in so many lives. If that wasn’t an indicator of the mad hole the world had fallen into, then they all must be blind. Stress, only good for those who can afford to go shopping or those already addicted to pills.

It even made those wild tribes men in those far away places seem normal, when they complained about the threat of modernity, today they seem the most reasonable of men. Well, the experts used to classify the over washing of oneself as a form of mental illness not so long ago, today it’s encouraged, has the world gone mad, as for those off shore schemes, that steal legally day after day, there comes a time, when someone says halt, enough is enough. If you can’t rear children in a stress free world, shouldn’t you do something about it?.

Being young, having ideals, it sure beats cynicism.

Compassion and The New World

Solomon reflected, many were at the same, seeking clarity and direction, there was much to be confused about, where do I fit in this new world, will my job be safe, how will my relationship fare, can I get by with less cash, seeking, Solomon was doing his own version of closet, what matters in the end, what is it about you that you can take with you, how can I be a useful servant in this world. What are my priorities. The virus taught one great lesson, patience can’t be bought, you have to practice it, and the same goes for those who want a relationship with God, you have to work at it. And the language of God is compassion for others, a healthy attitude to the environment, less exploitation of people, and good relations with your neighbors, otherwise, you are not at the races. Imagine you are sitting opposite the Holy Spirit, and you want to converse, what comes to mind, the deeds you hide, or the love you want to share.

A Singing President- Jazz it Up

As soon as possible, compassion in the seat of power, a voice that listens, not a market leader, not a finance chief,  neither a fool nor a womanizer, a refreshing voice, that has a cool rhythm, someone you could listen to, and has faith in the Heavens. As Leonard Cohen says, there is a huge thirst for a spiritual renewal, well, in a nutshell, core values, that put the vulnerable first, is not blind to the needs of others, and unites the voices, what a refreshing hope, go for it dude.

Solomon sighed, the cloud picture was nearly seven years old, it’s real, the answer to a prayer, apart from the circular cloud, and so much more. There are no doubts, without loving Spirit we are going nowhere, said and done.

The Sheep panic…

The great threat arrives, the paid men run, the shepherd soon realized, where was their trust, the parables of Jesus, replayed in real life, the ship is at sea, the winds are strong, where is your faith He Asked, didn’t you see the great wonders, how taxing it must have been, to have to remind them again and again, the Spirit of God is inside me, and it’s inside you too, you just have to create the space for it to thrive, a healthy mind, not one filled with jealousy and spite, that’s the demons daily diet, amen. You can’t serve God and Money, one will get the better of you, listen if you have ears.

Solomon read a story, the history of genetics, and the threat of virus’s, and how easy it is to manipulate such things, so simple it doesn’t even need a degree. The timing of the read, the advent of the corona virus, the vicious words used to instill fear in everyone. Don’t give up your faith, God is real, and his mercy is great, don’t panic ever, amen.

Reading from the holy books; Ezra in particular, there is so much in it that connects to these times, so Solomon read it aloud, to those listening in secret, in case they forget, there is God and there are words, that add up. As Jesus said later, it’s never too late to return to God, amen.

I’m a neighbor too

They,

hurry past the house, they know who lives there, the old lady is weird, they hurry their steps as they pass by. Inside their home, they bolt the doors, safe in doors, free from the world, the only thoughts, those they share with each other. The news, the story of a sickness, she thinks more anticeptic, he plans to wash more, they are a careful couple. Around the world, mortality is threatened, news of infection, not far from the attitude of those, who having wealth, are not into mixing with their poorer friends; they will only ask for help, don’t you know what they want. Neighbors.

Solomon sighed, a world threatened is a chance to develop new ways, or the return to old styles of caring. He recalled the truly great philanthropists, from the early 1900’s, the landmarks they left behind, the culture they encouraged, the gifts they gave to all, not selecting among the friends, a long time ago. maybe the new crisis, would encourage a new world outlook. Time was needed to size up the dirt that needed cleaning; did they really want their children to grow up stressed; as if they could do nothing.

Solomon recalled the night of the Spirit, the power of words that came with it; no power on earth could come close to it, amen. Neighbors, where were the borders, since we could reach out to every part of the world with our thoughts, thanks to the web.
