Freedom to Speak

Will I vote, why bother, it’s the same result, the election is rigged. The feelings in the hearts of those, who lived among dictatorships for a long while, mainly in the African continent. Solomon spoke to the young man, he was trying to find the election station, Solomon was. It was just one of those moments, you take a wrong turn, and you end up learning something new, or maybe it’s called an affirmation.

The young member of the Islam faith, spoke of the difficulty of democracy in some countries. The local dictator was in power, the money was stolen and placed off shore annually, the rights of the population ignored; the young man sighed, they are Just Muslims in name, Solomon sighed, it’s not any different from those claiming the Christian faith; they issue the words but they rarely follow the faith. however as they parted, they both agreed, that it was easy for all faiths to live side by side, when the pride is removed, and the power is shared. It was an important point for election day. Many chose their party, their friends, their interests, rarely considering the overall well being. Jesus being a central character in all the Faiths, wasn’t it easy to see where the bridges of understanding had to be built; projecting the old wisdom, not the propaganda, that money was constantly buying.

A lot can happen on the way to the poling station.

Jesus and Grief

Grief, what grief, don’t you listen, eternal life means eternal life. His followers are shocked, what sort of man can say this, how they looked at each other, has he lost his marbles. Solomon was listening to a friend who was going through the proverbial zone of misery, it was all going pear shaped, and there was no end in sight. It reminded him of the words of Ezra, and the journey of the soul, when it passes from this life. Death is not the end, as for those who worry about funerals, his remarks to those who wanted to follow him were just as curt; Burying the dead, watch the vultures gather. Solomon wondered too, hard words. Thinking about it, he tried to recall all the funerals he attended, the cries and tears of those who grieved with the deceased’s next of kin, then the laughter and the chat soon after. Within a day or two, the body in the ground was all but forgotten, apart from those near to the deceased, who grieved over their loss, amen.

Put your faith in the life eternal, treat those along the way with respect, be kind to those in need, have patience when it’s least expected of you, and you will have a happy death, amen.

Love Those We Don’t Like — Jesus is the answer!.. re blog

Quote

“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” – Ephesians 5:1-2 The call to imitate God sounds impossible. Yet, just as a small child imperfectly mimics a parent’s actions, disciples of Jesus copy him. […]

The Prophets of God…

The celebration of Easter, the pageants, the elaborate preparations, the days of ceremony, how does it compare with the image of the man, dragging his cross through the narrow streets, his body showing the whipping it had received, the crowds along the street, leaning in, trying to catch a glimpse of the great pretender, as they would have been told, the blasphemer, what was in their minds, a mixture of pity and justice intermingled, the Eyes of Jesus imploring, is there none of you that will help, wondering what happened to his followers, the miracles he performed, a broken man.

Then the sudden changes in the weather, the earthquakes, the darkening sky, the response of the Holy Father in Heaven, this is what happened to the Spirit he sent in the form of man, the story of the vineyard told in the cruelest form, the prophecy made true, for those who believed that Jesus came from God. How did God react, the savior was murdered, they had paid no heed to the warnings despite seeing the miraculous, only to find out later, that they had indeed murdered another prophet of God, just as Jesus had told them. Beware of them he said.

Would the next holders of the Spirit do it any differently, would they be guardians of the Spirit, or would they too, behave as those who crucified had done. The big question, the years pass, the vanity of men in power, the usurping of the seat of saint peter, and advent of Protestantism, as the behaviour of the popes undermined the words of Jesus, even making themselves infallible, something even Jesus never did, always referring to the Father, and being humble despite having the power to do anything. In this mix, the creation of secret societies, to prevent the so called authority that enforced their will with the sword, from ever repeating the great harm again. amen

Demons and Envy

Sow the doubts, create division, it’s so easy. The pharisee’s were very devout people, they were the first people of God, had the books, a line of prophets, but they were human after all. Along comes a threat, so they think, there is a power shift, same as an idol loosing the audience to a fresher act; the imagination can play strange games. In other words; how often do we stand aside for a better version of life; Jesus made it simple, the blah blah was too much, the rules too intense, they were misleading the people, they acted like lawyers, making it difficult to navigate, you have to do this on that day, this on the other day, wash like this, wear your hair like that, and it had to be male led.

Stop Stop Stop, this is doing the head, God lives in joy peace and harmony, not tied up in chains. Being a Samaritan, doing what decent people do, not those who are war mongrels, listening to the views of others, respecting differences in how you approach life, all this stuff was written 2,000 years ago and longer. Don’t you know that demons exist, and they play with your well being.

Solomon smiled, it being the anniversary of the passing on of a GREAT friend. He had moved to another orbit; but he would surely approve the words, amen. The gifts that we can pass on, rather than the baggage we hide inside us.

To All the women who struggled, had to put up with it, this is Saint Brigid’s day..

Solomon sighed, he wondered where the sense of nurture was found in most lives; the answer came easy, he thought of the mothers of this world, and all that they sought, a peace filled world for their children, fairness, and respect. It is not a lot to ask for, but considering the huge numbers of women burned at the stake, and how the role of the feminine was dragged through the proverbial sewer, unless you were lucky enough, to have been chosen by the King, and those with similar fortunes.

Solomon wondered; how did we thrash so many great gifts, why did we listen to those mantra’s, there is nothing you can do; what influence was trying to instill this into so many heads. Saint Brigid would have given them short shrift. A no nonsense lady, amen, blessed with the Spirit from above….

Fracking Fools

Oil guy big smile,

finance guy big sigh,

Put the rig over there,

Hard to hear clearly,

Chopper very noisy,

Million barrels a day,

Amazing the technology,

Pump in the chemicals,

Whoof the oil gas flew,

Water becomes polluted,

Nature reserve destroyed,

Land becomes useless,

A sore in everyone’s eye,

Mr President what’s up,

Energy independence he quips,

Fathers mind your children,

That was just an election boost,

Protester gets twenty years,

For upsetting the president,

Mother Nature howls,

A big freeze you want,

She looks to the sky,

God gives the directions,

Wind blows cold air,

Country freezes everywhere,

They wont frack around much now,

Mother nature is consoled,

For the time being anyhow,

Poisoning the water everywhere,

First the arctic now the rivers,

Can’t believe such stupidity,

Meanwhile chopper stops,

Rotors seize up,

Oil guy finance guy go down,

Pilot miraculously survives,

Two more incoming.

Gates of hell opened,

In the two guys fly,

The end.
