Feed Me Words

Feed them words, show them deeds, ignite the Spirit, give them the words of life. words. How do you arrange them, are we designers, the way we arrange things, the rules we insert to thwart things. Can’t you see, you are not allowed do that, can’t you read the signs, more words, are you having those thoughts again, words. Darn, we need more of the life giving words.

Solomon sighed, words began and words will end it all, and that was and is a great truth, how words impact on us. Jesus reminded them, words, and deeds are what you think of them, words.

Two Polar Bears

Are you sure this is a good place to set up a stall, the other bear nods, he is wearing sun glasses, does not want to be recognized, it’s a desperate time, and finding a new home is not easy. The stall they set up is outside the big rock concert, it is a petition gathering enterprise, and there is the hope also of meeting some of the famous campaigners, the bears have definite ideas, and they are front line spectators of the ice debacle. They are even offering free ice lollies for anyone who signs up. A child asks, are those fur coats real, the older bear smiles, Fur, who uses real fur these days, everything is fake these days. It was a bold decision, coming all the way from the Arctic, well, they got caught on an ice berg, and ended up in San Francisco. The signs were all friendly too, they even formed a committee to save them, those San Francisco Nationals.

Fox’s leave the forests, joining more and more in the cities, lot of waste food there. The two polar bears do the happy bear dance, one foot to other and back, sign up sign up. Are they really fur coats another child asks. The signing is going well. A dozen rare parrots fly in formation, they are escaping the Amazon fires, they are on the California coast, flying north, they want to cool down. One of them Spots the two polar bears at the stand, shouts out to the others, I think we have reached Alaska he says. Well, where do you expect to find Polar Bears these days?.

Outside World

He closes the door, the walk isn’t too far, he wants a cigarette, a fix in the morning a bite in the afternoon, a few cans in the middle, and by four he will be out of it again, outside the world. She will pass by him and shrug, he is on a bench outside the church, lifting her eyes to heaven, she remarks

, did you see the like of that, alcohol drenched sloshed in front of your church, no respect she mutters beneath her breath. He eyes her as she passes; would she ever throw a few coins, has she any heart at all. She can hear his thoughts, his eyes stab her like daggers, in the back. All he does is drink it, she ignores him and walks on.

Mrs O’Neill says the cashier, she is inside the women’s fashion shop, everywhere, it’s spotless and shiny, she is there to try the new dress, there is a wedding coming up. It’s awful what you see on the street these days remarks Mrs O’Neill, referring to the drunk slumped over the bench down by the church. The attendant ignores the remark. A half hour later, Larry is slouched completely, lying motionless on the pavement now. In sleep land, he does not notice Mrs O’Neill as she passes; the smell of alcohol and that other smell, have they no respect she says.

Solomon heard two women in conversation, the sight of alcohol soaked bodies hanging around the sanctuary is too much for them, they have to speak up. What the children are exposed to one of them says. Solomon smiled, God works in wondrous ways, giving us tips, and angels come in all sorts of guises, many times just warning us all, of the outside worlds.

Moses and the Burning Bush

Lightning, the sky lights up, from nowhere, a bolt of light descends from the Sky, air traffic control that was close, missed by inches, a loud crack, the terror and screams nearby, it could have hit us. Solomon listened to the news, he was burning the green at the time, then heard the news, could it be real, the earth was on fire,

fire it seems. If a healthy environment is our get out of jail card, then everyone on the planet was getting a reminder, and as in olden times, when God chose to use a burning bush to communicate with his Prophet, many thousands of years later, the same was happening again. There were those bent on the destruction of the living environment for real short term gain, as if we hadn’t enough palm oil already.

Yes, the various environments needed support; the creator could only do so much, our free will does the rest, choices. A student of the ancient texts and striving to get a clearer impression of what it all means, Solomon thought the timing of the burning bush was apt, given that some world Leaders were meeting together, and talk was of the burning bush, not that it was meant to appear on the agenda, but when fire rages, who can afford to ignore it. Imagine, they meet up, discuss, never once wondering, if the fate of the burning bush, was a clear message to them, well, leaders lead, they don’t build castles in the sky.

Thirty thousand feet, the engine wobbles, everyone on the jet trembles, former certainty wanes, could this happen to us as well, yes it could sighed Solomon. Stories such as Moses and the burning bush, are there to remind us, of the many ways God communicates with us; this is a living planet and it does not belong to you, amen.

How’d We Get Here

It’s dark, there seems to be life everyhwere but no light, breathing sounds, slow movemements, it does smell okay, problem is, you can’t see anything, Fred is trying to work out what happened, he was on a night out, then nothing. He’s been here for days, and time goes so slowly, when you have no idea what to do or where you are, how’d we get here. He wriggles around, there is a spot of light, it’s brighter over there, and, he procedes slowly, the survace is broken, intense light, fred pulls himself up onto the ground, recognises, trees he thinks, and that’s grass, How Did I get here. Barney hawk is flying overhead, out for the breakfast, spots a movment down in the grass, he must be a hundred feet above it, but it does not matter when your eyes are radars. Barney, flies on, anything for the after course, nothing unusual, he swings back. Fred is still trying to get his bearings; adjusting to the new life takes time, said so in the PHD management manual he used to study, that he recalls, his memory is still patchy. Claws extended, one grab, Fred is now having a paraglding experience without the parachute, wow he says, how’d we get here. It’s good to be prepared sighs Fred, having recently increased his life insurance cover; he had a lot of enemies.

The King and I

A glass of water, a kind word, a hopeful smile, the boy wonders down the street, his mother and sister is ahead of him, he has ideas, his eyes wander from side to side, absorbing it all, it’s all new to him, his first time in the place where he stands. He is young, has seen plenty, wants me time, others like himself, games and thrills, it should not be that hard. Solomon watched the kid stroll along, that boy has attitude he sighed, the look in the eye, …

He was weighing up his new surroundings, feeling it out. Eye contact is made, the child makes a wry smile, I’m new here, just testing the water.

Solomon sighed, the old story, the well being of Spirit, what we do for others, that was who we are, and according to the words of Jesus, that was and is, the acid test, good intentions fine, actions much better. As the signs were coming faster than a Mother about to give birth, so it felt, and there are major awareness’s everywhere, and those who are extremists are feeling the pinch, in these times of Great Change, it was wise to remind oneself, how we would judge ourselves in relation to our lives, what would we find, a welcome from the King hopefully, amen…

How Many Victims do you Need?

Solomon sighed, the dream, the frenzy, the fear, the blood hatred in the eyes of those seeking justice, the lengths they were willing to go, they wanted their victim, they sought blood. Was this a re telling of the Great Play, by William, The Merchant of Venice, how our desire for so called justice blinds the light inside us.  It was dream time, and he was sharing the worries of another, a young relation of a war victim, as everyone who partakes in war are victims, the winners and the losers, what are they left with; the fields of Vietnam, the concentration camps of world war two, so many victims. Solomon reflected on how the values of an older generation were side lined, as a more modern minded, justice now mind set, took over the leadership of many flocks, and how they used past hatreds to corral the flock into action. None of them held memorials for the millions of children, abused indirectly over the internet, having to digest what few of us could escape unharmed from. How many lives had ended, when the posse was in pursuit, Jesus among them, the thirst for justice becoming a drug as the mob got larger and larger. Revelation sighed Solomon, they might not listen to the words of the Prophets, but they did react to revelation, knowing their day for their judgement could arrive any given day.

Solomon smiled, he caught the dream, listened, saw the spotlight shine on the so called refugee, villain, the light shone for a minute, perhaps less, the mob now has a thirst, the chase over this time, they headed off in search of another. Father, Teach them he prayed. They try to raise the fears in others to justify themselves; and the harm they cause grows like a virus. Solomon say the signs, saw the Spirit, what a sight, and every day since, he was writing rescue remedies, with a lot of success.
