The Substitutes Bench

The players roll up, they are in line, next, the coach says, your on, move left, left you go, the game is in play, it’s the super bowl of divine intention, and there are those who want to disrupt the play, they want to win at any cost, while the good team wants to win on merit.

You are sitting at home, perhaps your old, or young,  perhaps you have a disability, perhaps you spend too much time wondering about what you could have been doing, regretting, wishing you had stayed home that fateful night, or wished your mother had taken better care of you, before you were born, whatever, you made it into the world, not by your own free will, but by the law of Birth, Heaven, with eternity the goal at the end of the rainbow. You can’t leave the house for extended times, your medical condition has you like a chain, and you medical insurance is restrictive, does it get tough sometimes….

In the old folks home, can’t move without assistance, and when they come to visit you, its’ as if they have forgotten you, some life, and you prayed all your life too, it’s not fair. God knows all this, he passed out an abundance of talents to satisfy all needs, but as the children became too much in themselves and built little kingdoms, for the benefit of their ego mainly, its nice to impress, don’t ever forget it though, when the medals are finally awarded and the trophy is handed over, the substitutes get the winners medal too.

So put purpose into your heart; while you may have setbacks and feel passed over at times, we all play key roles, and we fit in where the need is greatest. So when your on the bench, you are still part of the team, amen.

Solomon sighed, he was recalling the old story; some of the pharisee’s and his own apostles were asking; why was such a person born with restrictions, what was his or her sin they asked. Jesus knew they were trying to confuse him, Jesus simply replied; well, it’s to show the great power of God. We see a fellow soul in trouble or in need, our hearts are moved, the ball is in play, what are we to do about it…..it’s also why, angels are careful not to rush in; there are those who act up with the intention to deceive, amen.

Envy

I want to be different, there is no one like me, there is nothing I can’t do, I have the money and I can choose, I want people to look and stare, I want them to understand, I can afford this, I want them to stare, that is a real rolex on my wrist, Envy, Yeah, I want you to drool at the excess.

A world that prides itself on the creation of Idols, does it not remind you, encouraging others to worship the material, with no sense of the Spirit, or the Spiritual needs. King Solomon, the prophets, and the warnings of Jesus; don’t encourage people to envy you, unless it’s your Faith in the Most High that you want to encourage in them. The papers, the boasts, the old men and their trophy wives, the medication they hide behind, the doctors injections that keep them alive, while all the time parading to the world, their so called acumen; well, if you work like me you can have this, all of it, was it not like the temptations that Jesus had to under go; choose life He said, Eternal Life, the material can’t come with you, so what is it that you envy. Who do you want to serve; your pride or God, amen.

Too Devout For Me….

It’s not easy, and eternity is a real destiny, the words of old and the habits of some, they are too devout, do you see the way they pray, we’d never go that far, then the heart twinkles, and you get a reminder of heaven, there are healings, the sky, the patterns in the sky, even the numbers. reminders, there is Heaven, and these are reminders that’s all.

Solomon watched as some built walls and the others who built bridges, one view was entrenched, the other wanted to encourage and is divine, way some folks are more inclined towards love than others. As for security, what is more secure than a real world love that never fails. Solomon had prayers answered, encountered the angels, there was nothing to prove, Heaven is real, I hope that isn’t too devout for you.

Did they ever imagine it; those leading the way, encouraged daily, with the prayers they uttered every day, thoughts of heart felt wellness, were

lighting the path. Ironic sighed Solomon; One side was critical of the others, each fault finding, that’s too much some would say, the habits or the practices. Perhaps, all those disagreements were ways to get people to notice each other, same way a rebellious child causes a nuisance, amen.

Greta And Her Generation

Fighting Shadows

It’s not drama, it’s actually real, it’s not the head, it’s the ability to disguise, the hidden evil menace, the trail of poison ivy, it’s the growth of hatred, it’s the propaganda that fills the mind, the greed that we can’t control, it’s the temptation of the demon, turning people against each other, enjoying the conflict and hurt, the psychopathic remedies of the evil mind, the stuff that makes us apathetic, the blind spot we acquire, it’s why corruption just never slows, we are told to exploit it all, the mantra of the so called successful, and How Greta Thunberg said it clearly, we heard it all before, Solomon sighed…

MOST honest soul I met in last ten years, a two year old boy,

Solomon sighed, the emperors clothes syndrome, they all nod and agree, then a child, unaware of fear, said what everyone was thinking, he then recalled the Ancient scripture, the wisdom of men and the wisdom of God, and how mere children, would put all the intellectuals to shame; well, we are seeing it with our own eyes, amen.

Addict Central

Darn, the buzzer goes, the alarm clock buzzes, who could be at the door, she clambers out of bed, bumps into the chair, what time is it, she wipes her eyes, clearing, the buzzer goes again, I’m coming she shouts, she knows the voice; frantic words are muttered outside, you have a ten o’clock and you are behind, she fumbles with the lock. The door opens, she retreats to the kitchen, the kettle is set to work, her assistant is done up to the nines, darn, she looks better than me. She opens the press, where are the pain killers, she has a brain rush, you need to order more of these, she holds up the noisy container, two or three loose tablets left. Then she thinks to herself, the sleepers, they are getting low too

, and there could be an emergency, she dismisses the thought, the time she dropped the container on the bathroom floor, and how sticky they were when she tried to pick them up. What about the anxiety stuff she thinks. Her assistant says nothing for a few minutes, she has been through it before, addict central.

Get Healed

The placebo affect, golly, you begin to feel better when you actually believe it, the Spirit, the initial push, the way opens, in those moments of searching, seeking a reason to believe, the aches, the anxiety you felt a minute before eases, same as the feeling you get when going to a big dinner, you look forward to the good food, forward looking, the point being, you are looking ahead.

Solomon encountered the addict, well, he encountered a few, and he was listening. The conversation was muted, addict was trying to direct the conversation, pointing at weakness’s he perceived that would distract Solomon, a tactic many use, deflecting. Solomon listened, this hurt, he saw how his companion was trying to control the situation, why would he want to do that, hiding from himself?

Feeling good, there is news of a cure, Solomon read the news, A rod was telling all the good news, he got the all clear. A believer, he thanked his faith for keeping him in the zone, he wanted to get well, had not given up. Solomon smiled, as soon as we realise that we are all bit players in a great movie, when we consider this, and apply it to our lives, we will see the value of our existence, no matter what angle we take. Don’t we all seek meaning in life, our purpose….

As said before, if you don’t believe, why are you doing it for!

Outside World

He closes the door, the walk isn’t too far, he wants a cigarette, a fix in the morning a bite in the afternoon, a few cans in the middle, and by four he will be out of it again, outside the world. She will pass by him and shrug, he is on a bench outside the church, lifting her eyes to heaven, she remarks

, did you see the like of that, alcohol drenched sloshed in front of your church, no respect she mutters beneath her breath. He eyes her as she passes; would she ever throw a few coins, has she any heart at all. She can hear his thoughts, his eyes stab her like daggers, in the back. All he does is drink it, she ignores him and walks on.

Mrs O’Neill says the cashier, she is inside the women’s fashion shop, everywhere, it’s spotless and shiny, she is there to try the new dress, there is a wedding coming up. It’s awful what you see on the street these days remarks Mrs O’Neill, referring to the drunk slumped over the bench down by the church. The attendant ignores the remark. A half hour later, Larry is slouched completely, lying motionless on the pavement now. In sleep land, he does not notice Mrs O’Neill as she passes; the smell of alcohol and that other smell, have they no respect she says.

Solomon heard two women in conversation, the sight of alcohol soaked bodies hanging around the sanctuary is too much for them, they have to speak up. What the children are exposed to one of them says. Solomon smiled, God works in wondrous ways, giving us tips, and angels come in all sorts of guises, many times just warning us all, of the outside worlds.
