Confidence

The bathroom, theirs, the responsibilities shared, feeling tired, a sympathetic ear, confidence, knowing that the support is there. The word is small, does not seem to mean that much, until your without it, confidence.

Having a good friend was the most pressing of issues in all lives. Solomon recalled a scene years before, it concerned a friend in trouble. One version of the demon, well, the apprentice, when approached by Solomon, stated with clarity, well if you think I’m bad, he’s an awful lot worse. The words turned out to be true. Solomon praying with renewed confidence many years later sighed, stop he yelled, the rain just stopped, amen.
