Solomon was having a coffee when a friend joins him, a little confused, words do that, they can send you into states of euphoria, she loves me, or they can send you into states of misery, I want a divorce, words, dam simple words. Do you want to join the Mafia son, this is your chance, do you refuse, words, sometimes you wish you never heard them, used by a sly spin doctor, they can change your mindset, rethink what you believe, words, the making and breaking of lives, the start and ending of all things, those vocal sounds that come out of your mouth, pretty dam important how you use them.
This friend sits down, wishing to hear, you got it, some words of wisdom hopefully, so the conversation goes. The friend is confused, she has heard the message, seen the miracles, has friends who recovered, has seen the spirit at work, but is confused, by those saying all the right things, things she wants to hear, but it doesn’t make her feel comfortable, she wants more, insight. They call themselves people of God, but they hide
behind golden doors, they talk about poverty but don’t live for the poor, they talk about how they value Love, but don’t love those who differ from them, they don’t share when there are those in need, they use all the right words, but their deeds say otherwise. Solomon nods.
Remember what Jesus said, “listen to what they say, but don’t imitate their ways!”
